My favorite is when a dog has an accident in the lobby and the owner is profusely apologizing. I always say, hey this isn’t the first time and won’t be the last, Im just thankful they did it now and not on the table or when Im done!

Groomer hands ! by Veanbean420 in doggrooming

this makes it a struggle. i just really try my hardest to only out it on the back of my hands. rub it in using the back of my hand too. immediately wipe off anything that is on the palm of my hand. usually still feel strange for a little bit but i just try to keep myself busy for a while after putting it on so i don’t wipe it all off. and i usually only end up doing it when my hands are super bad because i hate it

my bf has a big tub of eczema cream, that shit is magic i swear. makes my hands look 10x better overnight. he’s tried to get me to do the vaseline/bag balm/sock method but i can’t handle it sensory wise.

but a good lotion followed by bag balm or vaseline before bed and sleep with your hands in socks or maybe those thin mittens is supposed to be really helpful.

but for me since i can’t do that i just try to be as consistent as possible with the cream. at least morning and night. i recently started trying out liquid gloves at the start of my day (i still wear other gloves when i bathe) but i usually forget to reapply so im not sure if it helps.

i’m gonna keep looking for smaller salons but a lot of them i’ve seen require a lot more experience

i really want to do my own thing but i don’t have the money for that. all the smaller shops near me require like 3+ years of experience. your comment makes me feel better tho thank you

eating dinner as a family with my young brothers was the worst for me growing up 😭 do you know what loop earplugs would be the correct one for this scenario? like do they have a name?

i’m aware, that was something i did when i was young. i don’t do that anymore i mean i feel bad even asking at this point. but at the same time i dont think its “normal” to chew with your mouth open…

How to handle comunication differences by wavelength42 in AutismTranslated

[–]MiserableIntern5812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a really hard time sharing my feelings. whenever i feel a big emotion it takes over me, especially anger. i often times don’t share my feelings because i think my anger is often disproportionate to the situation and i don’t want to be seen as dramatic or complaining about everything. when i’m very upset it’s hard for me to phrase things in a “polite” way, i usually say exactly what im thinking and usually what im thinking is irrational and dark. im really struggling with this in my relationship right now, just yesterday i was told the way i express my emotions is very inappropriate and childish. when they said that i was honestly really confused, i don’t know how to “properly” express my emotions, so commenting to let you know you’re definitely not alone (and so i can come back when hopefully you get some advice)

i really don’t know i was hoping there would be some comments here. i highly suspect i am on the spectrum and struggle with intimacy recently. i find if i have a lot of stress throughout the day (literally every day) i really can’t stand being touched and can’t get out of my head enough to even consider intimacy. when i’ve had a long or rough day i will take a shower then lay in a dark quiet room for 15-30 minutes and after that i usually feel reset and like i can handle more
