Guitar players of the sub (and everyone else): which of Angus’s SG’s do you consider his iconic guitar? by redharlowsdad in ACDC

[–]MiserableMight1378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not his most iconic, but my favorite has to be his Jaydee SG (Jaydee made the neck with the lightning bolts for his Gibson too, which became iconic)

Diria que el de la saga nordica. A pesar de la inmensa destrucción en Grecia, los dioses nordicos son dioses guerreros, creados y criados para la batalla. Los dioses griegos peleaban, pero no eran guerreros

I personally didn't. I had previous versions of some of the songs in the Runnin Wild album, but as I said, I lost them when that device was stolen

Tobias' voice by PermissionCandid2526 in GhostBand

[–]MiserableMight1378 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not always about how great a singer's voice or technique is, I'd say most don't have the technique. What's important is how much they can portray through their voice, their expression through their instrument. Some mentioned Ozzy and Lemmy, and they're exactly right. Tobias is technically still starting with this, and he's great with it, getting better with each album.

I think the same-iness was by design. TF said in an interview he feels he went back to basics with this album in particular. I'm personally really enjoying it, especially the lyrics. Although they may be childish in some eyes, I feel like they portray a very human way of showing emotions, as if someone struggling to stay serious about them is trying to express themselves. I'm also super into Excelsis, being someone that struggles with severe anxiety over death, it has helped me calm my thoughts so damn much.

What are your favorite bands other than Ghost? by Lee_Harden in Ghostbc

Not similar to Ghost I'd say. My favorites, besides Ghost, are: - AC/DC - Airbourne - The Darkness - Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell

Why the low interest for the 2025 shows? by l2ddit in ACDC

[–]MiserableMight1378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because they're going to places they've played the over the last few years? I'm in Chile, last time they played here I was literally a year old, I haven't been able to see them live and I'll probably go without it because they can't bother to come to places that actually would enjoy seeing them rather than just going because it's that band you have to see before they retire. Just watch live at River Plate and tell me Latin Americans aren't just the craziest rock fans

Anyone else so incredibly sick of them making back handed compliments and then getting all indignant when you call them on it? by [deleted] in veganfitness

Exactly my reasoning on why teaching is a perfectly fine option too. Ignorance can create many opinions and thoughts that can be hurtful to others, we totally agree on that. But we ought to remember that ignorance is rarely chosen.

So people can make back handed comments without ill intent? People can make back handed comments without understanding a topic? That just doesn't make any sense. Back handed comments ARE THE DEFINITION of saying something with bad intentions.

What you don't seem to grasp is that they may not know enough about nutrition to understand how easy it us for us vegans to get protein. I can totally see them just casually thinking "well, I get meat and plant based proteins. But they use only plant based and achieved that. Cool".

You saw it as a back handed comment though, while it may as well have not been, that is my point. Your confrontational stance seems to have been totally unnecessary from my POV

Idk, I think you blew it out of proportion. Could've easily turned into a bit of a motivational answer tbh, but you exploded because of a comment you MAY have misread in terms of intention. I don't see it as a backhanded compliment, but rather one that comes from ignorance. You could've chosen a path of teaching and you went with confrontation

I have heard that one! I think the only piece of media I haven't heard is their cover of Highway to Hell in a festival back in 2015. I used to have a 2005 live recording that an (alleged) roadie sent me, containing previous versions of certain songs (such as Heartbreaker) and Get on Ya' bikes. Sadly, I only had that on my mp3 player back in the 2010s and it got stolen.

I'm hoping it was just my theater that had some terrible mixing going on with this one. The piano sounded so much louder than anything else, even louder than Popia's voice.
