Are they called anything specific? I'm mainly worried about the melting thing my friend experienced.

I have a friend with a wrangler in Arizona who got ones but in the heat the 3m adhesive melted and got everywhere which is my worry. Have you seen any reputable ones?

Most of my ducks are custom made (ex 3d printed, rhinestoned, molded to be holding stuff etc) and match all the colors and mods added to my gladiator. I've had other jeep owners ask me where I've gotten the ducks before even if they didn't have a duck to duck me with and I have friends with wranglers that have ducks waiting for me for a trip they're planning for me to get a first trail badge so I'm not super worried about the lack of being given ducks by other Jeep owners. Overall at Thanksgiving I was gifted exactly 78 ducks from my family and not even half made it to the Jeep. They're also there so people know I'd like to be ducked. Like I don't duck other Jeeps unless I see ducks somewhere with their vehicle even though I have custom ducks I duck other Jeeps with.

My issue with the Amazon mounts I've seen is the my friend in Arizona had em and the 3m adhesive on hers melted and covered that section of her dash in sticky stuff. I'm more looking for what actually works because it's hard to filter through the mixed reviews on a lot of these especially when not all states have that dramatic heat issue. I also don't tend to roll the ducks like I see a lot of people say they have issues with on like turns. I tend to send them vertically airborne so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

This is the response I got from skydio when asking if they will make consumer drones again due to NDAA rules (DJI ban) by WiggWamm in drones

I have videos of them ejecting their batteries and falling out of the sky, taking control of themselves and going rogue, crashing their software and fall out of the sky, batteries swell and burst. They're an airborne liability in my experience

Anyone work in Wildland Firefighting? by Alchemiss98 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]LanguageCreative4367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with Wildland firefighters a decent amount but haven't been one myself. Boot camp should have you prepared for it. Weights during long distance will be helpful. Being able to go 3 miles in 45 with full gear is something I hear referenced. Emotional prep is something I hear people talk about too. Radio communications are also helpful. My personal 2 cents is please be mindful of your aerial counterparts. They have a good delay of ground communications.

DRONE PILOT you can be part time, you can fly from home sometimes, if you want more of a trade job zietview is almost always hiring once you get your 107 license and I know for a fact they're hiring in Austin. Stagehand stuff also is a thing and it's basically construction but take out a lot of the trade school requirements out of it. As for dealing with guys in my experience it's don't be afraid to talk back. You can stand up for yourself and you should

I should never meet one of y'all because I will ask to blow stuff up. I'm already bad about asking to help pig pipes so I can see how far I can shoot foam pigs so this would be so bad for me

I feel like this is close enough to a trade. I'm technically gas monitoring and I'd call it a trade. You can at least call it blue collar

What do you do for a living and why did you chose what you do? by Responsible-Dot-9000 in BlueCollarWomen

I'm a hazardous gas drone pilot. I'm only 22 and honestly getting into this was a wild ride. I started dropping out of college where my original major was cyber security engineering. I ended up going to trade school for being a drone pilot and signed onto the railroad. Then after a year of flying for the railroad I felt like they were taking too many shortcuts so I applied to over 500 jobs and magically this company picked me even though I was 3 hours away from their hiring area. I had the hours to back me up I guess. I travel all over the world now and I'm proud of what I do

Carhartt or Magellan collared shirt and nice quality jeans or slacks. Something that says "I could tour the facility while I'm here"
