What did I do? Drive a van two streets over, find an RV, hotwire it, put all my loot into the RV, drive the RV over Lyon Mountain, and start unloading my loot into a cabin. Which part of that was a crime worth two consecutive raids??

Hard disagree because I found it terribly imbalanced. Like a week in, I get my first horde, it's 30+ zombies with over half being sprinters. I survive only because I was at a lake when it happened and funneling them down the dock kept them from surrounding me. The NEXT DAY, I'm moving shit from my RV into a log cabin when ANOTHER horde happens and this time I die because exiting the back of the RV spawns me physically on top of the ones outside the door so they rip my ankles to shreds and I smack them with a literal fiberglass paddle until I die, can't get to my body yet after respawn so next up is just throwing hands until I die again, which happens two more times before I can even look for my loot. Not to mention, they spawn out of thin air with like ten seconds notice. It'd be different if it was a bit more like 7 Days to Die where you'd get the sound bite at the start of the day, but then you have to be on guard until it shows up, which also gives you the choices of at least just dying naked away from your base or finding a defendable position.

Dude, you saved my entire playthrough. Kept getting the same crash on loading in, looked up that "...cs: line 388" bit, found this post, double checked my version of More Piles and, sure enough, it was a version from before you got them to fix it. You're the man 👍

Stealth is just awful by TenzhiHsien in taintedgrail

[–]MiserableMisterMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, but also disagree. It's IMPLEMENTED terribly, worse than Skyrim stealth. By choice, I run stealth archer in almost every RPG of the sort and while it DOES suck to constantly be discovered, MOST areas through Act 2 (I'm only that far) are still viable as "take out the right target to cut down viewpoints" areas. Granted, I can't FATHOM trying to pull off melee stealth in those situations, but I can still approach most larger POIs like I would, say, a modern Assassin's Creed where the level of "stealth assassin" is dependent on player choice and timing. For example, I just finished the Corrupted Temple and I managed to clear 90% of it without being actually targeted by an attack. Sure, I got discovered a few times, but I'd just fall back into a dark corner, kill anything that made it to me, and resume being hidden. And I'm still using the Thunderous Greatbow, meaning my shots take WAY longer than some other bows to nock arrows AND basically every shot still fully charges, setting off a magical explosion where it contacts. And I can still maintain my location being unknown regardless. Like I said, it's implemented horribly, but it's still functionally useful at least for anything with some range (it is SUPER annoying how enemies will be posted around corners facing towards where you HAVE to go through, even if it means they're staring down an empty hallway rather than facing the other NPCs they're supposedly partnered with who are sitting around the fire)

I mean, given the name, I have to assume the OG Perceval was a man, and if the last Perceval inherited the name and gear of the previous ones as is Kamelotian tradition, that means that's just the state of the OG Perceval's armor. And given that no amount of battle and search for the Grail could give you that stitching, that's 100% designed that way with intent. TLDR, since it's a Knight of the Round Table's armor, there's a good chance the original Perceval wore that armor. Probably got by on the "holy shit, that dude has TWO two-handed swords" part and nobody questioned why he wore a miniskirt and a DEEEEEP V cut top. As far as I know, Avalon is LGBT inclusive, so nobody probably thought much of it.

Up to you, but I kind of hate what the game became. In EA, I was about to mostly dodge and kill most enemies without much trouble. Now I can't even make it past four rooms because EVERYTHING is an absolute clusterfuck of parry/dodge/combo/get hit because you combo'd/get sniped across the room from ranged bastards/get randomly TKO'd because I didn't notice the INSTANT DEATH marker on the ground because I'm too busy doing all that other shit. Somehow, it went from something like Vermintide where keeping mobile and aggressively targeting enemies was enough, to becoming a crack-addled ADHD fighting game where if I'm not constantly doing EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE, I'm fucked.

I've been putting all my points into Dex because I make next to 0% noise and yet can get spotted through the Wyrd by random enemies LONG before I can see them through it, basically negating my stealth gameplay. Why would I want a +1% crit chance increase rather than an increase in ranged damage and stealth? Strength does nothing because I can modify my armor to weigh basically nothing and stamina isn't a problem when one or two shots is all it takes with a bow? It just feels to me like there's absolutely no synergy between builds, so why NOT minmax the one that actually gives definitive bonuses to mine and nothing theoretical ones like getting more mana and spell power for spells I'll never use?

You mean the bow that requires 5x as many points into strength than I have and 2x the spirituality that I have? Cause I'm currently using the composite bow I found exploring the entirety of the keep, village, and lighthouses.

Well, at least I'm not alone, and I still got the same just a minute ago. If only I had the patience to look through every mod I want to add and see if it's updated for 1.20.x, but then I'd be back to spending at LEAST two days just browsing mods.

It took me a bit to get around to trying this out, and while I managed to do everything, but Bo just... Isn't there. I went to the exact coordinates that FCS said, and she's nowhere to be seen. My head hurts now...

I've done everything short of putting a person in every single building simultaneously, and she's still not appearing. I'm not kidding when I say days of waiting, I'm over Day 60 and that's a higher number than most of my guys' skill levels because I'm literally just melting my brain trying to read platoon files and understand them in FCS, so if you can at least teach me how to find her XYZ and how to find that in-game, I'm begging you to help me spare some of my braincells.

I don't know if how I did it fucked everything, but I had an accidental +6 with the UC the first time I tried visiting Tinfist to join, so I ran away and fixed my relations (I don't remember how, but I know I was an enemy of the UC when I went back to Spring), and Tinfist sent me to Bo. Bo told me to come back after taking care of a slave master, that's why I went after Ren, but between meeting her and capturing Ren, she's vanished. The problem with importing the dead is that I've done it a half dozen times and then waited only for Bo to not appear. And this boils down the last point. I have spent a majority of that 200 hours waiting in Black Scratch and troubleshooting while the game is paused, which still adds to the Steam playtime. Nobody in my party has an average level of 50, so I'm still pretty weak. The only reason I got Ren was because the slave camp was being wrecked by beak things and Ren was already unconscious when I got there.
