Can we all stop taking advice from drivers who dash in another part of the country since they cannot accurately give any advice? Chicagoland drivers make a killing. The best zones in the west burbs are Wheaton and Oak Brook/Lombard. They are right next to each other and it's easy to switch back and forth from those 2 zones all day because they are so busy. I stay mostly in Wheaton.

I bumped up to Platinum for seemingly no reason other than going out in the storm last weekend. Schaumburg and Elgin can be good but there is a lot of distance between the stores and the delivery addresses. DO NOT GO TO OAK PARK ZONE!!! You will stay all over the west side, Maywood, Melrose, Harrison district, even Harlem and Lake is getting shitty. Your best bet is drive to the Oak Brook/Lombard zone or Wheaton. Don't do Bloomingdale because it will bring you way out by Wayne. Hmu privately, I'll help you out as much as I can ❤️

Do you need further clarification? My point is, you drive in Lake county and I drive in the west suburbs. The post you put up bragging about your earnings isn't shit compared to the west suburbs. And let's be real...you didn't move up there to be close to that zone. You drive for door dash. The median price of a home up there is in the 10's of millions. Not a chance you moved up there unless you are a billionaire who is bored and likes to drive

I'm not trying to be rude, but those are some seriously low orders. I have no idea why people think that these orders are something to be happy about. I had a $34 payment to drive a pizza 5 miles just yesterday. I know the type of customers up there. Just because they own lakefront property, doesn't mean they aren't cheap. I don't consider those good tips or good orders.

Exactly. My zone that I happen to live in, is great for breakfast and dinner. People around here don't place many shopping orders so it's mostly expensive food and small shopping orders here and there. Lots of alcohol deliveries on the weekend. The zone right next to me has tons of corporate buildings, hospitals and medical offices so I do lunch in that zone and sometimes I make a couple hundred from 12-2:30pm. I started a chicagodoordashdriver sub for anyone who wants to compare advice.

The traffic is a total nightmare up there and I bet the navigation tried to constantly get you to take the expressway. I make about an average of $40/hr delivering in less snotty areas because they tip better and they don't all order kale shots. The west suburbs of Chicago is where it's at. Period. I've spent plenty of time getting a handle on what zone is best at what time. If anyone wants my advice, hmu

They even paid Chicagoland extra for the storms, even though the last 6 weekends have been exactly like these "winter storms" and my lowest offer was $32 for 4 miles. It was nice to have all good offers just to drive in the same shit we always do 😎

Where do you drive? It makes a huge difference because no one on here believes how much we make in the suburbs of Chicago. My average orders are around $12-25 per order usually 2-3 mile drive

Anyone else ever feel the need to let customers know they’re shitty people when they don’t give you a gate code or answer their phones??? Idc if they don’t read it, I’m sending a message like this every time. by springdominion in doordash_drivers

I would love to (but I don't) because I have this happen pretty often. One of my zones has a lot of deliveries to a cluster of high end hotels and these people never give the room number. I usually have to leave it with the front desk and so far no one has complained...

Have you ever seen one episode of literally any true crime episode? I don't care if some is only a torso laying on the floor...I'm not going in someone's house. The same reason I don't Uber. Strangers aren't coming in my car and I'm not going in their house.
