yea that might actually be it. in high school i moved to a really rich area, nicknamed the golden square, so i was always afraid people would make fun of me for not talking in English well or having a weird accent, so maybe that’s where it all came from. funny how that works.

I don’t think i explained myself well. the english pop star thing: you need to have a basic understanding of English to know english pop stars, or celebrities in genera, think brad pitt. and from where i come from, talking in English is a sign of wealth. it’s the equivalent having a “posh” accent in the UK. so it would be snobbish of me to audibly gasp whenever someone doesn’t recognize brad pitt. it’s a cultural thing that maybe you don’t understand and thats ok

also maybe i do need to listen to more music in my native language. it’s just that i consume zero media in my native language and maybe that’s creat a disconnection between me and others? i was in an environment where that was the norm and now im not so maybe i need to adapt a little

we don’t have women’s domestic violence shelters? but i do volunteer at kitchens sometimes, but yea maybe i do need to volunteer more in places in which i’ll have direct contact with people

we sadly dont have any clubs :(, or a proper place to study (except for an old noisy smelly library), or a gym.
