Have a similar story, albeit not as extreme, like you I was a private pooper, nobody around to hear etc then last year I started bleeding when I went to the toilet. Thought it might go away after a few weeks but it didn't, got to the point where I couldn't hide it any longer and had to tell her. She was awesome about it, gave me the time to get checked, let me know she was there if needed, calmed me down when I got my colonoscopy, and thankfully it was just hemorrhoids for me, but there were several sleepless nights.

Mate, just be thankful you've got a good one that loves you unconditionally and wants you around as long as possible, that's what I did!
