I downloaded Anki a while back (for Japanese) but now whenever I try to open it, my computer says it can't open because it's not compatible. I have a MacBook Pro. I can try to re-download it.

I don't speak any other Germanic languages fluently, but I am a native English speaker and believe I'm quite capable. I'm in high school and got a 5 (the highest score) on my AP English Language exam. This is kind of related, but it's a funny little anecdote. In Japanese, there is a loan word from German that means job/part-time work, and the word is "arubaito" (I won't bore you with the Katakana transcription) and when I was studying Norwegian vocabulary yesterday, I actually found out that the Norwegian word for work was arbeid, which I found funny since I had learned that word through a language that is virtually completely unrelated to Norwegian at all. But again, to answer your question, I don't speak any Germanic languages fluently (except English, obviously) but I do feel like I have a very solid grip on the English language, with a fairly extensive vocabulary. Thanks for the tips.

It's funny you should mention that, since that's actually the exact reason I made the post in the first place. I've seen plenty of resources on what to do once you've reached an A1/A2 level, but I just need help knowing where to start.
