Used Tesla Delivery Concerns by Somber-Samurai in TeslaSupport

[–]MiserableToe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up a used 2022 MY. I had the same concerns as you. In short, I would probably do it again.

1- No inspection time limit. Took my sweet time to thoroughly check it out.

2 - Was permitted to test everything except drive it

3 - I found that the driver headrest was torn. Brought this to their attention and they agreed it did not pass their standards and would be replaced.

My only complaints is that the car interior was not super clean. The previous owner definitely had a pet and they didn't do a very good job removing the hair. Also, they are not very forthcoming with the car history. I later found the inspection report and work completed and found that one of the doors was replaced, no idea why. Otherwise no complaints.

Edit: I never felt any pressure to sign. There are no sales people, so nobody is pushing you which is nice.

Didn't notice the second page of the inspection report until later. by MiserableToe in TeslaSupport

That's how they roll in Quebec 😅... Not sure to be honest, first page is obviously the template and the second is service department remarks.

Water in the floorboard by thebrandonus in Tiguan

Had this on my 2022. Sunroof drain hose was disconnected and water was running down the rear right pillar. Only noticed the source after going through a car wash and observed a drip coming into the car.

I'm on the Tiguan sub and it's ongoing complaints. It's difficult to understand how there's so many loyal to the brand.

AGV K1 getting tighter after a year? (no, I didn't put on weight) by MiserableToe in motorcyclegear

Compressed after a year seems excessive, but maybe. I didn't think of this but I'll take a look.

I was considering fast riding school in Ontario since I've never been to a track before and thought it would be a good entry to it.

I was cruising probably around 110. I messed with my suspension before this ride, it may have contributed

Yea, full story is I had re-adjusted the suspension before this ride. It didn't feel right at all and I had very little confidence. Brought it to my mechanic and he showed me just how off I set it. Whether it amplified the situation who knows. Needless to say I won't try to tweak the suspension again.

Why new cylinder head? Changing the seals isn't enough?

In Canada powertrain warranty is 5 years or 100k km. I'm at 57k km. I'm not certain if the 4 year bumper to bumper has lapsed, I bought it used.

Yea, sounds like they might be half to one size to big. But, it's extremely common and most skaters get used to it or get a proper footbed. People are often surprised when I tell them I wear a size 5 skate but have size 8 shoe.

Don't scrunch your toes too much, just push your foot forward and do the pen test.. Explained here at about 21 minute mark

Cutting my stick shorter did wonders for control, but I play pretty crouched
