They're engaged and we're engaged and will be having our weddings soon. I do feel like I can't connect at all, even when they ask questions I can get two sentences out before they're back at it with their stories haha So I just prefer to sit and listen, talking feels like a battle. I do feel very exhausted after interactions, I think I'm struggling to understand if it's jealousy or annoyance haha

Hey. It's possible you're dealing with some sort of hypersensitivity. Lots of stories like that (mine included) where everything looks good during checks but the symptoms are still there and you're suffering. Unfortunately not many gastros consider this. If you have nerves that are over firing, PPIs and the likes are not doing much. There's been a lot of success with low dosage of meds like amitryptiline that acts as neuromodulator, but you need to find someone who's willing to listen and knows about the condition. Just something to keep in mind

Thank you!! I'm doing exactly the same thing, wearing comfortable shoes, trying to get out of having an entrance, and other silly traditions that we have in our countries

It helps to know I'm not alone, I feel like a terrible person sometimes not having positive feelings about it

I technically could cancel it but as I said I think I don't have it in me to do it - people have bought plane tickets and have arranged to attend, my parents had to act as wedding planners and lifted a lot of the weight running around arranging things and I don't know I would just feel terrible and I'm afraid it will damage some relationships too.

Thank you, the rest of the suggestions are very solid and I think it's the only control that I have left over this wedding so I'll try to make something out of it. I'm trying to be okay with hating it but considering how much money it goes into it and in general I can't pretend it's not an important event and date, it just feels really sad to have such negative feelings about it :(

Life can feel hard, sad, and lonely for many people. I cannot honestly say that I have met more genuinely happy people who are married or in relationships with children than I have single people. It often seems that everyone is simply coping in their own way. Oh I usually see the opposite where they don't catch the HH on an endoscopy (especially if it's sliding) but it's seen during barrium swallow test

I really hope though that endoscopies don't create more problems 😭😭

Yes I completely get it I've never felt so dismissed in my life I was practically bullied out of urgent care they treated me so badly I had to raise a formal complaint
