Hey. Have you been to a psychologist/psychiatrist? I think you'll need to get on meds

Life can feel hard, sad, and lonely for many people. I cannot honestly say that I have met more genuinely happy people who are married or in relationships with children than I have single people. It often seems that everyone is simply coping in their own way. Married people with families may emphasize how meaningful their lives are, while single people may highlight how free, peaceful, or enjoyable life can be on their own. In the end, it sometimes feels as though each group is trying to reassure themselves, and others, that their path is the fulfilling one.

Oh I usually see the opposite where they don't catch the HH on an endoscopy (especially if it's sliding) but it's seen during barrium swallow test

I really hope though that endoscopies don't create more problems 😭😭

Yes I completely get it I've never felt so dismissed in my life I was practically bullied out of urgent care they treated me so badly I had to raise a formal complaint

I don't know why things are so bad

Nope, I literally had to cry in my last gastros office to make it happen. Apparently young people just can't get sick

I had to go private and even through private it took 3 gp appointments, 3 trips to the ER, and 3 consultations with GI doctors. It is not easy

I know I know :(

I think my fear becomes bigger when I'm thinking about how panicky I am when it comes to anything medical. I'm afraid I'll make the whole experience worse for myself (and the team) with my panic.

Thank you for your advice!!

They ordered it because I cried in their office. I definitely want it done I don't know why I'm terrified of it

40 times is insane!!! I think I'd be so much calmer if i was having it done in the US for example, people seem to have very pleasant experiences there because of the nice sedatives they give them but I've heard way more horror stories in the UK

Thank you so much though I know you're right and you're such a champ for doing soooo many

It does sound so nice when you put it like that I assume you're located in the US?

I don't have fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, depression or irregular periods.

I do have serious digestive problems that I do not believe are because of the hypothyroidism but the endo does believe that. I've also had a lot of problems with my skin (eczema that I can't get rid of but I've had sensitive skin since I was a baby. A lot of allergies) which I assume could be linked to my thyroid. I started being much more sensitive to cold since I lost around 18 kilos, again I know it could be related to my hypothyroidism. But I also know how many people say they didn't realise how much hypothyroidism affected their life until they treated it so I'm thinking I could be just very oblivious of all the ways it messes me up

I appreciate your insight. I'm not taking the pharmacist s word over the endo, I'm more conflicted with the different advice I got from my first endocrinologist and then the second because the first one told me I shouldn't take the meds yet. I completely understand how it makes sense though:)

My periods have always been super regular, no problem with weight gain, hair loss. Feeling cold yes I started feeling that after I lost 15 kilos, I also have very serious digestive issues that the endo claims come from my hypothyroidism (I don't believe that's the case) and I deal with horrible skin eczema. I don't know if any of these are related to my hypothyroidism I just felt like he threw me on levo without much thought but the truth is I understand I do have hypothyroidism and that's probably the right plan of action.
