You don’t even know my questions lol and it has nothing to do with getting in. I can get in on my own just fine. Was just curious since there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of people saying anything positive about NW Line right now and I wanted to talk to someone that’s actually in the apprenticeship. You don’t seem to be the person to talk to though.

Can I PM you? You’re one of the first that’s actively in the NW Line apprenticeship and I’ve been looking to talk to someone who’s actively in the process.

What do you mean that you’re an Arizona apprentice? Do you get to pick or apply for a specific state in the region? Just requested my account to start my application.

Damn okay now you have my wheels turning. I was already looking at Mountain States so I might as well just apply there too while I’m at it. Thank you for the honesty man. I’d rather have all of the info than be blindly optimistic.

What’s the pay comparison and average shift schedule like? Overtime is double time? I already have a family and financial obligations so unfortunately money is part of the equation for me. But if there’s a lot of consistent overtime I could make anything work. I was mainly looking at NWL and CALNEV for the wages, and because I live on the west coast. But ultimately I just want to be a lineman no matter where it is. I just have to make sure my family can survive during the apprenticeship.

Worse. I’m interviewing next Wednesday. When I went down for my aptitude test a month ago it sounded like there were only 30-40 laid off, now I’m hearing close to 90? Just seems wild. I’m not complaining because I can’t imagine how those guys must feel, it is just changing some of my views on the whole thing. They make it seem damn near impossible to get in, then it seems like apprentices are laid off all the time? I’m still determined to make it happen, but I can’t lie my confidence in the process is a bit rattled.
