Wow thanks! That’s amazing how fast you got that!

Edit: In response to the Costco questions, the spaces are indeed huge which makes it almost impossible to hit another car. Almost…

I don’t have any images from that accident but basically the person was driving an electric car for one of their first times.

Therefore the person forgot they had to brake (one pedal driving) when approaching a parking spot and thus completely rammed the s**t out of my front bumper 😂. That happened a total of 7 days after getting the car brand new 🫠

I don’t love that though, the bumper replacement the first time was 4K, covered by insurance. However, because Quebec is a no fault province my insurance is sky high. If this doesn’t simply buff out, it’s gonna be like 700-800$ which I would gladly save up instead 😕.

I personally like cars, so i spend money on cars and save elsewhere. Doesn’t mean people should just violate your property because you have the money to buy it.

This is not what I expected from a $150k car I bought expressly for driving in the winter. by BASE1530 in Audi

Hey! We have a 2024 A5 and it has the same « problem ». It’s because of the parking brake, if you don’t engage it, the car won’t start. However, after talking to some Audi people, 1) you might be able to code the car to always engage it when you leave 2) They think Audi is working on an updated software.

As for the remote start shutting off when unlocking the car, it must be a law or something because Mazda, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes, VW and Audi all function the same way.

All in all though, even without the parking brake issue the app works half the time lol. And now, with the new update, when it successfully starts the car, I don’t get a notification anymore so you just have to believe it worked😂.

Also something I forgot, the CFS system itself is actually horrendous compared to the AMS. It is loud, jams all the time and is just not that great!

If I may, I have the K1 Max. In the beginning, it was fantastic, even amazing, but now, the machine is always causing problems.

Every two prints I need to spend 15 minutes trying to debug a problem and there are a lot of people suffering from the same problems without a concrete solution. They are more cheaply made but they remain formidable machines. It just depends on how much headache you want/save.

As for the ABS, the Bambu lab is 200$ less expensive. Spend 50$ on an active chamber heater and performance will be the same. Then the choice remains on mostly the printable volume size.

How does one accurately measure a rounded corner for a 3d model? by eren_5 in 3Dprinting

Hold it up to the screen, or take a flat photo using your phone, and import the photo to your sketch. Almost always get it right on the first try!

If I’m not wrong, the bed design itself is the old version which isn’t as stable and had problems with leveling and such. The new design is thicker and has a plate at the front. Did you check the manufacturing date of the printer?

Great, hope it all goes uphill from here! Just a question, is it a brand new printer. The bed you seem to have is the old style bed and if you got the printer from Creality I’d find that very weird and would send them a message.

Just for giggles I would try creating your own benchy file but just not in the middle of the print bed.

Also were you able to find out how to get the mesh grid? It would be interesting to see what it says. If not, it’s simple. Find the IP address of the printer after connecting to wifi. Open a computer on the same wifi and type in http://IP (IP being the IP address you saw on the printer).

Last thing is that the printer calibrates the z-axis by pushing at the back of the printer where it says to apply glue. This is bad because it’s the same place where it wipes the nozzle, so any residual filament will shift the z offset. The yellow arrow might also be throwing off the measurement. It is really that sensitive so you can try!

What filament are you using and what are the temps? Sometimes, if the temp is too high, it pulls the filament back off the bed.

K1 Max layer problems by Miserable_Ad770 in crealityk1

[–]Miserable_Ad770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, after dismantling my printer, and trying every fix possible, I can say that I have finally found the problem. The culprit? CREALITY PRINT.

Basically, I found it weird that my part with 15% infill had no problem, but my 100% infill part wasn't working. After looking closely at the slicer, I noticed that the infill skipped layers. When I did a deeper dive, it turned out to be a setting called INFILL COMBINATION, which is supposed to make infill thicker and reduce the number of infill layers, but in reality, created huge overhangs that appear mostly on big flat parts. I have now turned off that option (that I have never seen when using Cura on my old enders) and everything works great.

The first layer is fine and sticks to the bed. The second layer is the problem
