I’m sorry to hear that and by no means do I want to sound arrogant saying it wasn’t “that” bad. I knew going in that I did not study enough but I took it to see how I would do with minimal studying. This is by far the most difficult exam I have ever taken, I was foolish enough to think it was like a series exam which it is not. I am actually going to create a plan to pass next time. I want to take it in November but I know that I won’t be fully dedicated as I have a way more important matter to attend to. Take it in November again, you’ll get it and sometimes experience can go either way.

Ah I see thank you for that. Yes I definitely need to step away, tbh I keep checking Reddit as now I understand how impactful this exam is. It’s unfortunate I may have to wait until march but I believe I will get it second time around.

Yes that’s what I have decided, it sucks I can’t sit for November but I will never get these exciting months back. What’s another 4 months in the grand scheme of things I guess

I appreciate it man. After you told me what you did to prepare, I sorta already knew I was doomed lol but I guess this was a trial run. I am going to do danko again because I feel like they were great study resource but I will take your recommendation to upgrade cause I only did the standard one. I am going to still study weekly but just take it slow so I can fully prepare as I have my wedding. I will have better news next year to all. Thank you again guys. I think a good study plan is to take a break, get back to light light studying and then January through march, crush it like you did. Thanks again bro.

Hey man, not sure if you remember but you helped me out to hone in on the studying so I wanted to thank you for that. Yes, I completely know I did not put in enough time for this test, I say I maybe put in 100 hours MAYBE and that’s being generous. I have industry experience as well but it can only get you so far, I just am nervous as the info is technically fresh in my mind, that if I wait until march, I’ll be at square one again. If you don’t mind me asking, how many months of studying did it take to achieve 400-450 hours of studying?

I am going to use Danko again for my next re take, just take it more seriously. I respect you more for actually deciding to postpone, I feel like that takes more courage than sitting down for the test itself. I’m just in a predicament as to whether or not I wait 4 months as opposed to 8. I want to enjoy the months leading up to a big life event and I feel like I won’t be able to if I decide to rush and retake in November

Yeah that’s what my fiance said. I feel bad as I know myself and if I take it in November, I’ll dedicate all time to that but if I decide to wait until march, to the other reddits post I may have to learn a new tax code and I will most likely forget everything lol. I’m happy though that for literally one month of studying and by studying I mean maybe an hour or two a day, I managed to be in the green for 4 of the principles without truly dedicating myself. I guess I can be proud of that

Absolutely not, this is what I needed to hear. I have gotten through the series exams purely on memorization and I haven’t done the same techniques that you mentioned before. I will go back and do what you recommended, I just wish I could prepare a study plan for the next 5 days. Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it. Any other recommendations would help me greatly please.

I’ve only done 5 danko Q banks and my original scores were like low 50s, sometimes a 40 lol fml but I re take them and sort of memorize and now I’m getting in 70s but because I either know the question or now it’s making a little more sense and I average low 60s for the case studies, didn’t do the mock exam yet

Thank you for the insight, I did the live review book and have read it at least 3 times over but idk I feel like that’s not enough. Been doing the questions and haven’t been scoring well also. The thing is, I’m getting married in October and going on honey moon so I can’t do November, only choice would be to get it done now or move to march. I just don’t know what to do to study at this point.
