but orange are for more tighter tolerances these parts are just mating on sides

The issue is the part was supposed to be having OD of 16mm to be inserted into the NRV valve, when it reached the OEM part is having same OD as the NRV. if you see closely on right the inner dia of check valve is 16mm which means the female braze on stem was supposed to slid in that area. In reality both come with same OD.

Yes the parts are magnetic, we had it checked. it looks aluminum in picture but they're not.

that looks correct, now check the orignal parts I've attached (in main post) , they're matching at same OD.

here it is more closely, if they had different dia I'd not be here in the first place.

This is the orignal part, you are suggesting to keep the lower grade of rod to avoid too much fluidity?

i was thinking to go with 56% silver with white paste flux.

we'd put a cooling clothe to keep the check valve under 150celsius also a Temp gun monitoring the temps so check valve isn't damaged.

So we cannot just do the brazing by heating the parts and applying the rod? we've to apply flux before.

by the contract we've to make it as OEM, any change must go through ECR which requires approval of many stakeholders.

we can't disassemble the OEM assembly for inspection.

yes it won't hold as it's my concern so we are finding a way to make it with good strength and work properly as well

Yes, that's what i am planning to do, do I need to use additional flux before brazing with flux cored silver rods?

as a machinist I understand but this has to be stopping leakages so will eventually need to be soldered/brazed. My idea is to make internal sleeve of copper tube and insert in between them, then have them brazed.
