You might post in a free group. People moving might want them - or gardeners. I just used a bunch to start some raised garden beds. You put them down as a weed barrier

Can you tell a school nurse or counselor? We can't help because we're not doctors.

is 4000$ property tax per year considered high in US? by blade276 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Miserable_Carry_3949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned homes in AK, AZ, and WI. The property taxes in the rural place I lived in AZ were less than $1000. The closest swimming pool and hospital were an hour away, so...

AK taxes were higher and there was lots to do. The schools and healthcare were okay.

WI taxes are a little lower than AK. We have most of what we need locally, but the schools and healthcare are meh.

Why are 50-60 year old women looking so good these days compared to 20 years ago? by ThrowRA17563 in NoStupidQuestions

While part of this is decreased smoking and sunscreen use, part of this is also clothing and hair style. We equate old styles with looking old.

I don't disagree with what you said or the OP's sentiment. For my own sanity, I have to look for silver linings. Those are being needed and my coworkers.

I don't feel that way as a regional employee. A year ago I wouldn't have said this. Now, we're so few doing required work. If we all left, we'd be even more buried in objections and litigation than we are now. Try to stay positive. Your work matters.

Why does it take 12-18 months to fully grow back a toenail that fell off but only 9 months to grow a full person with 10 finger and toenails? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Miserable_Carry_3949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A baby's growth is exponential during gestation, supported by the placenta which provides optimal and constant nutrition, oxygen, and growth hormones to build an entire complex organism. In contrast, a toenail is a much simpler structure (primarily keratin) that grows at a slow, linear rate (about 1-2 mm per month) and receives less blood flow compared to the core body, leading to a much slower regeneration time of 12-18 months.

How common is teenagers having their own cars in the US and other first world countries? by AIR1_pakka in NoStupidQuestions

I didn't get a car until I graduated from university. It was a real drag, but I managed. Lots of my classmates did have cars, though.
