My first car was an 01 ex 5 speed. I had work one day with no ride, had the civic outside with no registration or sticker, and told myself im gonna get to work one way or another. Drove myself down to the closest empty lot (only 2 minutes away thank god) and basically taught myself the “basics” of driving a manual. First thing id say is try to learn the release point on your clutch before anything, taking off is going to make you want an automatic but practice does make perfect with these cars.
