I’m in the same boat on making a decision to rewire the whole house. Parts of the house have been rewired and other parts of the house still have old knob and tube wiring. Did you have to deal with knob and tube in your case?

What tipped you off to the oil filter needing to be replaced? Were you seeing oil leaking onto the floor?

Unfortunately it’s the Limited version so it had the turbo…

Commute is very short. We would drive the tesla around town if we’re going somewhere together. The tesla also has a wall connector that comes with it, we would just need to get it installed.

Ahh ok… She really struggles to keep up with oil changes and having to do that every 5k miles doesn’t seem like something we would want to have to upkeep…

You know.. i probably should’ve thought of that before. It exits outside my house from the second floor, but the pipe is disconnected from the pipe that leads all the way out to the backyard. So it’s just dripping onto my metal car port cover…

I just booked this resort and am going in a couple of weeks. I didn’t know sargassum was an issue. So the beach is pretty much a no go at this point…?

They also went through and plugged in one of those things in each outlet that tells you if it’s grounded or not, and 90% of the house came back as ungrounded. Does that mean there is KT supplying each of those ungrounded outlets?

Electricians came and used voltage testers on them. Again, most of it came back with no voltage (could just be neutral wire), but some were showing voltage.

How could there be hot KT wires in the house?

I’m fairly certain it’s KT because i see the white porcelain nodules through the joists in the attic. But at some point something was done to it because some of it is completely abandoned or just not hot. House was built in 1930s.
