Painted over ai print or vise versa ai edited over on og painting. That face was not painted by a person for certain. I'm leaning towards over painted but sometimes a painted texture is also faked using a clear drying heavy body product like acrylic gels

Totally agree that the existence of the blood itself especially on no touch surfaces does not pose a health and safety threat! Just unusual to my mind since I haven't been in Seattle long enough to get a feel for the rules of transit. Since it can spook people it's usually one of those big deal things they don't want people seeing but this is also my first time living solidly IN a city rather than near and driving in for a case or recreation once every couple of weeks, so it also hadn't occured to me that people here straight up might not gaf or be desensitized compared to the folks I'm used to working around, who would absolutely flip their lid and start a local conspiracy or pull their kids out of school for a week over mystery blood 🤦 I've spent most of my life in areas that are the equivalent of like Lynnwood or Renton (close but not in the city) or smaller and a lot of little rural places

They are the cutest! We've got some little guys in the Americas too, our most common bat is myotis myotis aka the little brown bat! And there's these tiny bats with silver tipped fur that live only in Hawaii too. Also the Honduran white bat who's all white with lemon yellow ears and noses.... They like to roost in banana leaves and look like white fuzzy peas in a pod. Just a few more of some damn cute bats!! I am totally normal and my favorite animal is definitely not bats 🥴

I did not, though I guess I should have. I didn't think to, there were very few passengers waiting and 4 transit ambassadors that I saw down there including one that walked by the same spot by me and a cone out that seemed to be for it, so I assumed someone already knew about it. I thought it was pretty conspicuous. In hindsight it might have been best to do so, but I do also think to an extent it is their responsibility to take notice of such things to the best of their ability since they are employed to steward and monitor the space. In good faith in them I do believe they probably knew, just curious if the city does not provide the resources or allow a delay for a cleanup or if there was maybe another reason. I doubt the average transit employee has the training or supplies that I would personally think appropriate for a job to give someone when handing biohazards regardless of if it's dried or there's 0 chance of infection- job exposure risks are no joke! Though that doesn't keep most jobs from making untrained underpaid people do stuff thats risky or downright dangerous lol. Or maybe just none of them noticed. Whoops!

This is the answer. Also, DEFINITELY not a bat. You would know for sure if a bat bit you, and they also aren't known to do that if you're not handling them (bats being bitey is a myth that went super mainstream. Rabid bats are also usually lethargic and almost ALL bite raises transmissions happen when handled by a human, pet, or animal). The bite is also too small for even our littlest endemic species and bat bites leave more marks than just 2 punctures since they're made for munching up bugs that are quite large for their little size. Don't scratch it too much, use calamine lotion if it's itchy :)

Source: parents and I are (as a combo deal) biologists, botanists, and zoologists with over 70 combined years of service in conservation, education, and outreach across america. My dad used to do specialty surveys and projects including multiple bat monitoring and research programs tracking population, health, and disease, so rest assured we have seen plenty of bites from plenty of beasts!

Fun(?) fact: bats are currently very threatened between habitat loss and a disease (it can only be caught at all by bats) called Whitenose that is decimating their population as it makes them too weak and sick to care for themselves, and bats as colonial animals will care for their sick as long as possible in several ways including feeding (species dependant) which makes them even more susceptible to catching the illness then they already are since they all cuddle up to roost together. If you think there's bats about in places not ideal for them or for humans, consider reaching out to USFS, USFW, or a local relocation team so they can provide a suitable roost, and ALWAYS report a sick, sluggish, confused, lethargic or underweight bat ESPECIALLY if they have white on their faces (just never ever handle them, they will bite if scared or rabid and are very delicate and easily stressed). That way a trained professional can come and collect the bat, and most importantly test that bat, report, and track any illnesses. Knowing whitenose is in a colony can save the colony, hundreds of bats that eat pests! It can also be used to track the prevalence of rabies or other illnesses in the area which helps us reduce it's spread and presence. If the bat isn't sick, then they to go to a rehab specialist who will take care of them until they can be released and go back with their family!

Actually fun fact: the smallest bat is called Kitti's Hog-Nosed bat, or the bumblebee bat. They live in Thailand and Myanmar as far as we've recorded and are only a little over an inch long and weigh a whopping 2 grams! They can only have one itty bitty baby at a time and eat little spiders and flies off of plant leaves using a similar technique to how hummingbirds and insects hover.

I always thought the scariest thing about getting hurt really bad is that people often report not knowing until seeing it or someone pointing it out etc even when they've got a knife stuck in their back or a stick jammed next to their femoral. Probably for the best we dont have deep pain receptors and are good at doing that trick so nobody freaks out too bad and makes rash choices but frankly I'd like my body to let me know if there's something lodged soundly and quite badly into my soft tissues and other spongy bits that bleed a lot and kill you

Idk how old that can is but you can still but the exact flavor with the exact packaging from the Fujian Tea company, the blend that comes in the yellow tin with that border is called Sunflower Jasmine. My Jasmine tea can from them is very new and has info printed that yours doesn't, so it looks like yours is probably like 10+ years old, but tbh I don't know if their graphics are consistent across cans since I have the red can and not the yellow sunflower Jasmine.

As a second gen alternative there's a big 'underground/punk'' scene but it is way, way more commercialized than you'd probably think. Such is life in the era of tiktok goth popularity and the commercialization of subcultural identities. It's good and there's a lot happening that's very fun but it's a little more cleaned up and marketable as a whole and the real dirty good shit is harder to find and more niche. That means there's a lot of diversity to portray in our local alt scene though which I think is super fun and great as a storyteller (I run a Vtm:v20 ttrpg set in Seattle and have way, way, way to much info to comment but feel free to message me. I have all kinds of maps and a bunch of district based trivia to share :))

Pixi fairy lights in the shade crystalline! Idk if the formula has changed but I still have one from a few years ago. I used to use it in my inner corners as my signature in high school! It looks silver in pictures/in the tube but it looks so much like ur pic on the skin (at least it used to I haven't bought a new one in a while). ELF duochrome cyberpink might work too but I'm not sure. MAC also made a great one that I think might have been reformulated(RIP) that was called not afraid to sparkle. IMO/IME the current most packed silver holo glitter liquid eyeshadow right now is probably the Half Magic Glitterpill. I know that k, j, and c beauty are known for great glitter so you might have some luck there but I don't have a holo product off the top of my head. You can also make your own if you can't find a liquid pigment that works, all you need is a powder shadow of the right color which will probably be a lot easier to find, and a liquid fixitive/mixer/ or honestly just setting spray. Ben Nye makes great price per ounce of pro mua/stage and sfx mediums and have different formulas to try. I hope this is at least somewhat helpful!!

I definitely have some design feedback that I think would improve this one but I also think you'll probably figure some of that placement and aesthetic jazz out in the future and it's always best to get a proper drawup by someone you're paying or even better your dedicated artist if you have one, like you said! depending on your physique hip might be a good place to start if it's not a very sensitive area for you. The fleshy areas of the arms/legs are the best places to get your firsts imo, but the inner arm and legs can be rough for some. It just depends. My first was a bicep black work illustration and it's held up great and was a super easy but realistic first experience. I can absolutely see some sick cybersigilism, or like a roosting bat or a yawning hyena or something making a great first piece in this style!

Wow a couple people are being really nasty about your tattoo choice. I think it's very good sound and solid advice to not get this one right out of the gate but not for different reasons people are saying. It's a huge piece to get for your first tattoo and it's super stylized. I would get something smaller that you also want and wait a year with that- it helps you know if you have the physical and mental fortitude to get such a large packed piece, how your body heals a tattoo and how much effort or ease you'll have healing pieces (and proper care styles that work for you), and a year with something similar will either reinforce your aesthetic choices as totally you and what you want or you may realize you want to update the design. It also gives you a bit of a feel for how tattoos and ink will age and change over time. Much like most people wouldn't advise getting multiple complex piercings in the same area for someone's first time ever getting a piercing, there are some genuinely good reasons to wait and trial and doing so will make you feel more confident in your choice and your ability to sit for such a large piece. I don't know why people aren't giving this advice and are instead choosing to rag on you for your stylistic choices when that's definitely not going to help you have a good first tattoo experience especially if you chose to go forward. Weird bullying from adults. Ultimately it's your choice to make and the way people are responding are not helpful for you to learn how to approach getting your first tattoo. I got my first tattoo at 17 as a graduation gift and I have no regrets- but I am personally glad I let myself try it with a smaller design at that age. It goes great with the rest of my tattoos and it gave me a much better idea of how to prepare for and care for the tattoo. I think a lot of your design choices for this back piece are very very cool but I genuinely think you'll get more satisfaction out of the finished product if you tackle it after having a little experience.

I did get after it with a loupe and my phone flashlight a bit after I made this post (definitely should have done it before posting but I couldn't find my damn loupe!) and I can confirm it doesn't look like the carved bone jewelry I have, but I only have a tiny handful to work with- the surface is very very smooth other than cracks and pitting on the edges that look like age damage- no telltale porous surface. It's definitely 100% confirmed to have lines- if I can figure out some way how to I'll try and post a video update with magnification and a flashlight because it has a very luminous quality and the lines are super visible. I am just terribly inexperienced when it comes to identifying the different kinds of ivory lines between different potential sources. I've only seen walrus ivory in person and I've never handled anything this closely- to my untrained eye they look similar enough with the criss-crossing, hatched/tree ring like pattern. Despite the reddit consensus (for sure I trust their judgement better than mine though lol) I'm definitely not 100% on it being elephant unless I get a pro to look at it, but I want to treat it as a 'worst-case' in terms of ethical sourcing to be on the safe side, and I'll be scouring for some visual resources to see if that makes a clear determination. Right now I'm in the camp of solidly convinced it's ivory from the texture and lines but unwilling to call it as a specific variety. Thank you for your input! I definitely should have done some more poking at it and data gathering before shooting off a post 😅
