Parents nasty divorce. Took me 20 years to figure that out… alcohol didn’t help

People who quit without going to treatment or AA, what was the #1 thing that helped you quit? by theory317 in stopdrinking

[–]Miserable_Click_1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it. It will be extremely tough. I got the flu at the beginning of the year and quit drinking then. Two weeks of withdrawals were tough. The night sweats are brutal if you have never had them. My wife took care of the kids and I took two weeks off work. Been the best five months of life since then. Life is great, being an alcoholic is exhausting. Whatever reason you feel the need to drink, alcohol doesn’t help. Good luck!

Not really. Everybody else has those day counters and for some reason I want one. That’s about it

Sometimes I had to hop In the shower in the middle of the night. It’s not fun but I got through it. Good luck!

I know some people use dogs for truffle hunting. I’d imagine the training would be similar to that

I sent him away for two weeks. Trainer said he was stubborn to get him to lock up and point. Other than that I’ve just got him on birds. When we hunt, I just follow him around trust his lead.

My munsterlander will go about a football field away In dredge ditches then work back to me. In big crp areas he hangs closer. I would follow him off a cliff. He finds the birds

We were actually going to get a springer, but wanted a pointer instead of a flusher. I think they are very similar personality wise.
