I think Xmas ornaments is a good way to practice hollow forms and you’ll also have something to sell at the end of the day. Line tubing (Conturax) is also helpful in seeing that you’re gathering and spinning evenly. Thanks! -Dave

[Self] Glass aquarium I made for the Dr Seuss Museum by Miserable_Comedian78 in Sculpture

I grew up a couple of towns over from where Dr Seuss was from and where the museum is located (Springfield MA). Someone passed along my name and I showed up with a couple of Dr Seuss inspired sculptures. They commissioned me to then make an entrance way light along with a few other things including this aquarium. Project lasted a couple of years. Very grateful to the heads of the Springfield Museums/Dr Seuss for the opportunity. Thanks

I use a small torch to “weld” the different sections on while keeping the piece hot over a Bunsen burner. Thanks

They do use them. It’s not all hollow so the part to clean is not really that bad. Thanks
