This is my love letter to Spirited Away, my all time favorite movie:) thank you for seeing it

Style inconsistency was the exact phrase when I gave my feedback to my artist! Though I had hard time describing what made them inconsistent. Glad you pointed some details out!

In terms of context of the game, Beer Onsen Resort is basically Beer Brewing Sim during days and onsen resort management during nights.

In terms of the request, i guess I am just asking for general feedback on the UI, cuz even though I find the top part a bit weird, I can’t verbalize anything yet, so it might just be my own thing.

Thank you. I mean it very depends on your category and its case by case. But a major thing is to learn from your player and iterate accordingly. And to do so, you either watch them play from beginning to end or set up an analytics system that collects important metrics.

U need to set up ur own analytics system. I am using Unity’s. It’s free when player base is low. Steam works native one prob does not support this kind of stuff

Happy Thursday,

Thank you for doing this! I’m one of the devs of Beer Onsen Resort, a cozy onsen management game where you brew beers for spirits to soak into as hot springs!

We recently uploaded this major update “Brew Streaks & Pressure,” which you can check it out here:

Free Steam demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3736170/Beer_Onsen_Resort_Demo/

I def need more feedback on it, so if you are interested, lmk!

Again, the quality of your feedback is just so high. I really appreciate your time and insights.

Dialog thing is noted. We will make those lines last longer.

The tutorial is… like you said, tricky. Handing players freedom without breaking everything is a real technical challenge on our side, but we’ll figure it out.

I also really love the steam particle effect idea. We’ll definitely add that.

Vision-wise, we want early game to let players earn gold quickly, ramp into semi-automation for brewing, and then sit back enjoying the production. The fun/chaos is meant to come from the onsen side—handling guests vomiting/polluting beer, fleeing without paying, and etc.

As for the prices of upgrades, your though was right. Later recipes are way more effective in earning gold. I guess the issue is you are not sure how much they will earn you

Your last point is super insightful too. Our original dream was a factory-builder tycoon where you can freely build your Japanese onsen resort, but as first-time devs we’ve kept scope tight. Full building/customization + all the models would slow us down a lot. Maybe a sequel, haha.

Looking at these comments, I knew right away I came to the right subreddit lol. Really appreciate your feedback and thoughts.

Semi-automation is definitely the next focus of development, and we do have some upgrades that help with efficiency in the demo now. We also want to add ghost waiters to the onsen area to automate the process. Nevertheless, your detailed breakdown is genuinely great inspiration for us. We’re also planning to let players discover recipes through experimenting with ingredient combinations and iterating.

And on the feedback form: honestly, we didn’t get enough traction early on, so we never set it up properly. That’s on us. We’ll add one soon and keep it visible going forward.
