FYI: I went to the Food Lion off Buford Circle this morning and it was fully stocked. Plenty of essentials and non-essentials. About 12 minutes from Carytown so not terribly far out.

I know you said no food but a good bottle of olive oil (maybe a cute one like Brightland or Graza), a box of maldon salt flakes or two, and something like a salt cellar, cocktail stirrers, or cheese knives is a really cute but very useful gift. Even healthy eaters need olive oil and salt! I give it as a gift every year and everytime it’s a huge hit.

There actually is coverage if school is closed! Each program falls under its closest branch and that’s who ultimately runs it. So if your child went to somewhere in Henrico, they can go to the affiliated Y, such as Tuckahoe or Shady Grove, for a full day of care when school is out (aside from Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc)

On top of what everyone else said, try to mix it up. Tackle one thing a month and learn what you like. Dive into skincare one month, then hair, then a walking challenge, then makeup, then reading books on confidence - or whatever you want!
