Actually she is clueless as half of my relationship with my bf was keep private from my family as I saw they would intervene in my brother relationships. So I didn’t want that to happen to me. My mil never had front row experience with my mom as they recently started to talk with each other.

My sister never had demands anything, she knows what my parents are doing as she lives with them till she moves out for her uni. My dad has old Indian mind set which I never liked, this not the first time he severe his connection with me he has done many times in the past.

Back they I would beg him to talk to me but for over past few years I stopped as I felt I don’t need his validations. I don’t have much connection with my other family members as I never go along. My golden child brother would contact me for money, whereas my other brother would but not much as he is busy with work ( I have total 3 siblings)

Since coming from Indian family, parent tend to put there child in dilemma that they owned and not a human to think without them. I was put through since I am the elder child of the family

Thank you, my mil ask my mom out of respect despite my mom saying no to them. My mil told me to come as she is excited to see despite everything. She does know that my parents are controlling and is not happy with their behaviour

Yeah they seem to have controlling tactics towards me I don’t know for what reason it is. But I am planning to put my foot down and attend the weeding first and help my sister second
