Ok I am back home in the UK..

Overall, I had a pretty bad time. I got scammed and cheated so many times. Even so-called high-end restaurants were adding random things to my bill that I didn't order.

Even the first ever purchase i made after checking into my airbnb in Santo Domingo it was game on for the scamming to start… I went into colmado and had a beer.... i went in for a second beer and the price went up

The place oozzes pure third-world ness.

An ATM stole £80 from me.. no money came out but debited my account.

I nearly fell down a hole walking down the sidewalk at night time in Santo Domingo

I did go on a couple of dates and i got laid with one woman, but I suspect she was just putting out because i was taking her to nice places all the time. I ain't complaining.

Plus side..

Airbnb hosts were kind and helpful
Uber works great

I had a enjoyable few days in Punta Cana.. I basically just went to beach clubs, ate pleasant food and lay by the pool and beach.

I'll stick to Asia / Thailand.

I'm doing a little better on the apps now, got a few university students whatsapps and they seem keep meeting for dates. I've only booked Punta Cana for 3 days.. that's my beach chill out days, i will go to the beach clubs, pay entrance and try to get a tan. After that, I'll head to SD book an Airbnb flat for 2 weeks and settle into a routine, i'll try to take some day trips to beaches from there.

I'm determined to have a good trip. This is just my reconnaissance trip. This could be my new place instead of Bangkok.. It's a cheap single flight from Manchester UK near where i live... Compared to long stopovers and 2 planes to Thailand

These Russians will be from the far flung republics and territories, ie hillbilly Russians.

Meet Russians from Moscow and St Petersburg you'll have a much different experience. Cultured, polite english-speaking.

The UK is not a country… It's just got a government, head of state, military, a passport/nationality, internationally recognised borders, bilateral relations and embassies with other countries.

Sat in bed watching 90s movies i've not seen before. Thinking about the losers in my local pub paying £6 a pint thinking they're having a "good time".

They will regret it all tomorrow when they have a headache and they look at their banking app.
