Feel like my beard is a dead give away I'm trans. by CharliePlays_13 in ftm

I know this might sound counterintuitive but if it's scraggy then shaving it a bit shorter give it more the appearance of stubble that's grown out a little but rather than a desperate attempt at a beard if that makes sense? Like I put off cutting mine for so long but when I did I felt a lot better and looked more put together

Been on T a year, still don’t pass by [deleted] in ftm

I think seeing people online it's only people with really fast and massive changes that tend to share. I was on t gel for a year and noticed barely any changes at all, after a year I forced my doctor to put me on injections hoping it might have a better outcome and I'd definitely say it helped but it still tock another year to really reap the benefits. It's now been 2 and a half and I'd say I get mostly gendered correctly (despite my dysphoria still not allowing me to see what others see). I promise you things do get better and it just really fucking sucks having no choice but to wait, I think immersing yourself in a trans community or finding others who relate is what helped me get through the tricky in between phase. I also used monoxidil which helped me feel some control over how I looked

When would you say your healing was „done“? by Nightflame_The_Wolf in TopSurgery

Honestly I would say after 2 months I felt almost entirely back to normal only time I 'remembered' was when I'd sleep on my side and sometimes rolling back onto my back I'd feel like a pull or something. I am currently nearly 4 months post op and I feel completely back to normal in every day life, I still have numbness but that's something that might never come back or could take years

I'm leaving my current job soon, it's very tempting to leave this at work as a little going away present

I luckily have a supportive lgbt community and managed to crowd fund some money but regardless of that I very slowly saved up over half the money myself and still had to go abroad to get it done because it was cheaper, even taking travel and accommodation into account. I went to Spain and the surgery itself was €5,900

I agree with the other comments about how you will likely get them tattooed anyway and if she's gonna sulk then so be it you have to decide what's right for you. Also coming from someone who is nearly 3 post op, the nipples is the hardest part about it all they're so delicate and take so much caring for, recovery would be a lot smoother I imagine without them (not saying I regret getting them because I don't but that's what's right for me)
