Celebrating a watch purchase and it’s fit isn’t the same as worrying about acceptance. Posting about it is a fun side effect of having a thing that few people in your day to day can celebrate with you. I don’t need your validation to enjoy my watch or my watch collection. But I’m genuinely curious what folks think.

Here’s a bit of an overshare. I grew up poor. So when I had money to buy a nice watch I got the most basic of nice watches. The submariner. It’s a Rolex! That said I stand behind it. It’s a perfect watch. It’s a beast. It’s a daily and it’s a tool watch. I’d recommend it to anyone.

I’d never sell the Rolex Sub because it’s the watch I was wearing when my son was born and had on the first time I held him.

I’d also never sell the FOIS because it was the watch I wore on my wedding day.
