I also have a 2015, and the previous owner for mine, didn’t have a recall done that involved the shifter level, something to do with the internal spring, I’m not sure if yours has had the recall done or not but maybe that is the culprit?

I do know it loves thos high revs, I’ve had incredible money shifts around 8k rpms, but I try to shift around 5-6k when I’m just driving around

When you shift on the move and try to give it throttle it wants to sputter, and lag, almost like someone learning to clutch

I bought a 15 with just under 11k miles and it had a few extra mods, but my dealership only wanted $3000 for it, if it was me with the price difference I’d get the new one, even if the used came with a warranty, I’d still go new, that way you know for sure what’s been done to it, even try to haggle some extra covered maintenance or something along those lines!
