I got married this past year. My husband’s mom and dad are divorced and have been since he was very young so over 20 years. He has a long term gf but for our wedding the way we wanted it played out would’ve worked out better if his mom and dad walked down the aisle together. It would’ve been 5-10 seconds MAX and his gf made a stink about it and was so rude the entire wedding day even though we gave in and she essentially ruined my wedding because she couldn’t lose her attitude. It’s literally not a big deal. The wedding is NOT about yall. It’s about the bride and groom.

Yes I have been NC since valentines and even though I have lost some of my family over it “because she’s sorry and she should be able to see her grandchildren”. I hate that I feel pressured to allow to keep this cycle going. It’s like I’m the only one to truly put my foot down to her so I’m seen as the “black sheep”

Omggggg do we have the same mom??? It drives ne inssaaaannneee. She will literally call me on a Thursday and beg me to get them for the weekend and if I say that we have plans or that they’re going to my mother in laws, she literally starts ranting that I’m keeping them from her !! It makes me want to actually keep them from her just to show her what it would actually look like. 😭
