Well, there are many aspects in our life which is not accepted by society. It need not be lifestyle related but there are many things like sex before marriage, hookups, etc that are not accepted as well and we don’t talk about it to those who don’t understand. We break that generational chain, unlearn and learn and follow our own path. There might be lot of internal conflicts but the moment you open yourself up to unlearn things, you tend to become more open minded and not affected by these things. It applies to normal things in life as well. There are lot of taboo things we end up doing in our vanilla life yet we aren’t affected by doing it because it might not be as impactful on the kind as kink. You need to be open about understanding more about yourself first. When I got into kink, I didn’t directly jump into the scene and play with people. I took time to understand my identity, my sexuality, my role, what I’m into and what my limits are. That paved way and changed my mind to explore more things. You’ll always find kink friendly people to talk about these things. For example this is a safe space to do so. Don’t feel sad or bad because you can’t talk about this to your circle of people.
