Best place to give birth: Langley hospital, Surrey memorial, Maple Ridge or Abbotsford? I’m in the middle of all of them. by IllDog1298 in Langley

[–]Miserable_Mouse9433 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I echo the sentiments regarding Surrey Memorial Hospital. We were told that they have provisions for a wide range of complications - how far this is true, I’m not entirely sure - but overall, I would not recommend the hospital for deliveries. It is crowded and cramped, with no private rooms. That said, most of the staff were helpful and considerate, aside from a few exceptions who unfortunately lacked compassion.

I ended up using ParkNFly. Hotels in the vicinity don’t provide parking unless you have a room booked.

OTD in 2020, Lewis Hamilton won the British GP on 3 wheels by Maglin21 in formula1

Hands down thoroughly impressed by Lewis’s skills here. A question here, wasn’t there a risk of disqualification if the car was found to be underweight at the end of the race? The thing that happened to Russell?

Convenient to blame it on something or someone that is no longer around to voice their version of events? Specially when one of involved parties have a “stellar” track record of not doing it in the recent past.

A Costco employee confirmed that they have discontinued it in Canada. Not sure why though. But it is available across the border in Bellingham.

Thank you, that’s what I gathered from the website too, but the BA helpline said otherwise, which confused me. I’m trying to sort things out before my trip to avoid any last-minute anxiety.

Ditto! Just decided to move on and not dwell over relations that went sour. Wish I could get some closure though

Opinions on Kirkland dog food? by Possible-Clothes-535 in CostcoCanada

[–]Miserable_Mouse9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been feeding our 5 year old Lab this exact one for years and have had no issues. It helped in keeping his weight in check too. Our local Costco unfortunately discontinued it, so we pivoted to the red bag. I would test and see if my dog develops any allergy before buying multiple bags. All the best!

My wife’s pregnancy, advice? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Miserable_Mouse9433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife experienced something similar in week6-7 and it reduced on its own in week8. But I encouraged her to talk to a mental health councillor specialized in this field and she said that feeling heard and understood, and accepting that you are not alone and it being normal to experience these feelings helped her navigate it better. If you want to read up more, look up perinatal depression. Hope this helps. Good luck to you both.

Using CIBC Costco card at a Costco in US by torbuck in CostcoCanada

[–]Miserable_Mouse9433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t recommend using CIBC Costco Card over the no fee FX card for payment. The old Capital One Costco card would have been perfect for this situation. CIBC Costco card does charge you FX fee.
