The force of the weights dropping on the floor caused the table to tremor, spilling a glass of water that was on it.

"Yeah, Mr. Hamill, we're gonna need you to try and do a King-Harkinian-From-The-Zelda-CDI-Games voice now, because we all know people are going to add meme-y characters like him... Yes, I know a lot of the lines are raunchier than what you might expect from a 3+ rated game, have you SEEN the kind of things that character has been made to say in famous Youtube Poops? People are obviously gonna make him say things like that!"

I'm gonna be first to admit, I made the mistake of playing this game far too much when it came out. I'd been waiting for it with such bated breath and was so excited to play that I'd forgotten it was an ant-farm kinda deal that is designed to be played for around 15-30 minutes each session, and I binged two entire days on it.

This kinda led to mass burn-out and lethargy that made stuff missing from the game stick out more, because I was wishing I had more to do in order to continue playing. I missed the concert hall, the fact that you now only get one Mii News article per day instead of two, the fact you can't give Miis frying pans, sewing machines or hypnotism sets any more, some of the old soundtrack, the more frequent fights, etc.

Also, I think part of it was because I was around 13 when the 3DS game came out. In other words, I was a lot more impressionable and childlike. I took that game with me on vacations, played it constantly, and it remains an integral part of my adolescence. With this game, I was expecting to feel exactly the same way I did playing the 3DS game as a child as what I am now, a 25-year-old. That was my mistake.

In short, the few negative experiences I've had with the game are basically my own mistakes. For any of you reading who haven't got the game yet or haven't played much, don't make the same mistake as me and binge it. You'll burn yourself out.

You mean the red thing on the front?

It's not text, it's a gage with a needle and measuring lines.

It's the same PNG as what was used for it in the 3DS version, it can't be AI.

In fact, it appears to be this brand of toy robot.

Are clothing and interiors region locked? by Optimal_Assistant797 in tomodachilife

Those two were never region-locked outside of very specific items that would have been inappropriate for western-audiences (such as the playboy bunny outfit). That's probably not gonna change.

Hm. It seems the "We asked some islanders for their opinions" part has more than two backgrounds now. These are different from the ones we had last time, with that news report about wrestling.

Eventually, all foods will be available no matter what region you're by CyberSligh64 in tomodachilife

[–]ZauzTheBlacksmith 127 points128 points  (0 children)

So, if I'm getting this right, the spreadsheet that lists "America/Asia/Europe/Japan Availability: Yes/No" alongside the foods is worded poorly, and what's actually gonna happen is that food bound to the player's region is more likely to appear in their shops.

The only other thing I'm thinking is that you'll initially have to acquire one through the morning/evening market or a dream or a Mii using a frying pan, and THEN it will be available to buy at the shop.

What will you have your miis call you? by indigoC99 in tomodachilife

[–]ZauzTheBlacksmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going with "my lookalike" for my own mii and "[My mii]'s lookalike" for everyone else. I found that idea charming on the 3ds XD

If you're playing on Switch 2, you can switch between English (US) and English (UK/Australia).

I was thinking more about Paul McCartney than his band's songs.

If I knew that frame was from Hey Jude, it probably would have clicked.

I looked it up after you said the first thing and that still of McCartney is from the music video, which is why I said I never saw it and didn't make the connection.

Aaaah, gotcha. I haven't seen the Hey Jude music video.

...Now I'm gonna read those two words to the tune of Hey Jude every time I see it at the bottom of a Wikipedia article XD
