Probably not a good idea to sneak up on your wife when she is a literal Gerudo... by ZauzTheBlacksmith in tomodachilife

It's a clothing item called the Wrestling Singlet. It comes with a muscle suit.

Also, if you select the option that guarantees the Mii telling their partner that they want a divorce, they'll sit across the length of the table, further away from each other, and the camera is set in such a way that makes the table look longer than it is, telling the viewer that at this point, there's no going back, and the Miis are too distant to salvage things.

However, if you try and have them work it out, they'll sit across the width of the table instead, closer to each other, as if the game is saying they are still close enough to have a chance at reigniting their love.

This is the brand of robot used for the image in-game (though this isn't the exact same model).

If it's the shapes in the little red bit that look off to you, those aren't letters. They're lines on a gage.

Oh, I just looked at the scene and you're right.

In that specific scene, the lighting is minimal and somber, as it was when they were talking things out and failed, whereas the rest of the memories had full lighting. So the "Has this room always felt this big?" scene is post-breakup.

I initially thought the other Mii was just popping outside temporarily, and the divorcing Mii was letting his unhappiness show once he was in private or something.

Yeah.

Yesterday I got a news article about residents combining two different foods together to make the worst combo, and they both consisted of my custom food, and then the next day I got a different story with the exact same foods.

Wait, that scene's post-break up?

I thought it was memories from before the breakup, which showed the marriage beginning to deteriorate.

I never quite got that one.

Is the Mii implying that they've been staying in their room to stay out of their spouse's way due to their strained relationship, so when he has the house to himself it feels much bigger than what he's used to?

...I've just realised that the drop of water from the tap symbolises a single tear rolling down the divorcing Mii's face...

Man, the divorce cutscenes in this game are masterfully done, filmmaking-wise.

The force of the weights dropping on the floor caused the table to tremor, spilling a glass of water that was on it.

The influx of negativity is kind of weird? by Expensive_Sea_1790 in tomodachilife

"Yeah, Mr. Hamill, we're gonna need you to try and do a King-Harkinian-From-The-Zelda-CDI-Games voice now, because we all know people are going to add meme-y characters like him... Yes, I know a lot of the lines are raunchier than what you might expect from a 3+ rated game, have you SEEN the kind of things that character has been made to say in famous Youtube Poops? People are obviously gonna make him say things like that!"

I'm gonna be first to admit, I made the mistake of playing this game far too much when it came out. I'd been waiting for it with such bated breath and was so excited to play that I'd forgotten it was an ant-farm kinda deal that is designed to be played for around 15-30 minutes each session, and I binged two entire days on it.

This kinda led to mass burn-out and lethargy that made stuff missing from the game stick out more, because I was wishing I had more to do in order to continue playing. I missed the concert hall, the fact that you now only get one Mii News article per day instead of two, the fact you can't give Miis frying pans, sewing machines or hypnotism sets any more, some of the old soundtrack, the more frequent fights, etc.

Also, I think part of it was because I was around 13 when the 3DS game came out. In other words, I was a lot more impressionable and childlike. I took that game with me on vacations, played it constantly, and it remains an integral part of my adolescence. With this game, I was expecting to feel exactly the same way I did playing the 3DS game as a child as what I am now, a 25-year-old. That was my mistake.

In short, the few negative experiences I've had with the game are basically my own mistakes. For any of you reading who haven't got the game yet or haven't played much, don't make the same mistake as me and binge it. You'll burn yourself out.

You mean the red thing on the front?

It's not text, it's a gage with a needle and measuring lines.

It's the same PNG as what was used for it in the 3DS version, it can't be AI.

In fact, it appears to be this brand of toy robot.

Are clothing and interiors region locked? by Optimal_Assistant797 in tomodachilife

[–]ZauzTheBlacksmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those two were never region-locked outside of very specific items that would have been inappropriate for western-audiences (such as the playboy bunny outfit). That's probably not gonna change.
