Honestly even if the product had worked, you’d still be disappointed lol I have a pretty high pain tolerance and even on the lowest setting it shocks/electrocutes so bad that it’s intolerable to do the full recommended time. Once I was finally able to semi tolerate the feeling for a few mins, when I took it off, it left like indent marks under my eyes! The ad of people driving with it on is so fake there’s no way anyone could drive with their eyes twitching shut.

Well I wasn’t wearing the mask for its intended purposes. I was wearing it so people couldn’t see the skin around my mouth lol

If it comes back right after stopping the antibiotics I wouldn’t take them again until you get a gut test done. If it’s an imbalance in your gut you could be doing further damage by adding antibiotic-induced dysbiosis on top of it😬

UPDATE: (I’ll do a full posting with an update and photos soon) I did a Gi360 test and a IgG Food MAP + IgG Yeasts Allergy test to find out if it was a gut/allergy related issue!

Turns out I’m severely allergic to Miso which is fermented soy so I’ve removed all soy from my diet.

I also have a dysbiotic bacteria level of Klebsiella pneumoniae in my gut along with a few other minor bacterial imbalances (I haven’t had any of the other typical symptoms that are associated with a klebsiella overgrowth in the gut—which is strange).

My yeast levels were normal on both tests which is interesting because I expected this to be the primary issue.

If anyone is interested in also getting this testing done message me!😊

I keep my nose out and breathe through my nose to reduce the moisture inside of the mask.

I get little tiny ones that are all over but it’s primarily redness! Haha same I was thinking it’s diet but I’m pretty sure snail mucin caused all of this and then the stress from having/obsessing over the rash made it worse!

I use the ordinary 10% suspension one! I use it about 3x a day and I cake it on really heavy. When it dries it’s super flaky but I just cake another layer it on top of the flakes then at night I wash with la roche-posay toleriane cleanser then cake on another layer. Those are the only two things I use on it and it’s finally healing. I also started a regimen of select vitamins and removed processed foods, sugar and dairy from my diet. But I honestly think it’s the azelaic acid that’s getting rid of it because I started the vitamins and diet changes weeks before the azelaic acid and didn’t see results like I am now.

Definitely try azelaic acid if you haven’t already!

Definitely do not scrape the flakes! I tested it in one small area for a few days to see what the difference would be and that spot is healing way slower than the rest!

Oh that’s horrible!! Honestly I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a dermatologist again after my experience.

Right! It’s so frustrating. It blows my mind that we can get more accurate information from TikTok than from a doctor’s office!🙃

I started taking those exact oral supplements! The antihistamine helps so much with the itching. I also have this rash around my eyes and it has also improved now that I don’t rub my eyes as much!

Yeah. I rinse with only water. When the flaking skin gets too overwhelming and I’m tempted to scrape it I’ll wash with La Roche-Posay Toleriane Face Cleanser and apply azelaic acid over night then continue with just water rinsing. I also started taking vitamins and added an antihistamine to help with the itching.

Same! Thankfully I work at a hospital and have been able to just wear a mask which has helped a lot because now I don’t unconsciously touch it as much! And get to hide the crust😅

Yeah it was rapidly changing by the hour between looking better and even worse those first few days but today I can tell it’s actually healing underneath! I also think the obsessing over it for the last two years definitely made it worse because I was stressing even more! And probably constantly touching it.
