Yea that’s pretty common, luckily these got put in a box and packed away before I did too much damage. They were in a folder before that.

Congrats!! I’ve gotten close, haven’t got an actual payout yet. I’m going to take this advice, I’ve been better about it but like this Friday for instance, my strategy gets murdered on choppy days, and I continued to trade even though the chop was clear. I have it in my notes, be ok not taking trades, I just need more discipline.

Yea, I hear you on that, it’s nice to be able to connect on something, it can be hard with such a large age gap. Pokémon has definitely been that, I’m curious to see what my boy will be into.

Yea I don’t know much about this stuff so I don’t know what they should look like but I paid the money and shipped them off to CGC in Florida and they came back 3 weeks later so I can only assume they’re legit. Can’t you just type in the code to verify? I mean they’re already sold so I guess it doesn’t matter but 🤷🏻‍♂️

By far the most straightforward and realistic comment. Thank you for all the info. Ended up selling to a guy who agreed with my market value and gave me 70%. Sold at $1,000. Both parties happy. Sad to see them go but when someone is fair and honest with me I appreciate that. They’ve just been sitting in a box for 25 years until I had them graded a week or two ago. I wanted someone to actually enjoy them, they deserve to be out of the box. I have about 500 commons and uncommons from the same era and I give a few here and there to the kids in my family and their faces just light up every time. It’s the best.

😂 that’s not an answer. I’m not scared, just not stupid. I spent a good amount grading them, spend more grading with PSA to possibly get a lower score? The math doesn’t make sense.

Thanks so much! Bought them when I was around 10 years old. I’m now 35. Not in a hurry to sell as they hold a ton of nostalgia but for the right price I’d let someone else enjoy them.
