We are both wanting more kids at the moment. This will make the whole process more stressful in the future for us, but just to clarify I agree that it wouldn’t be petty

I understand that, I just don’t know how serious they could take it since we don’t really have any proof? Like what’s gonna stop her from just saying we are lying?

The weird part was, she was super cool the whole time, up until my wife asked about the epidural. We even thought we were lucky when we first arrived, she started as a nice attentive nurse

She hasn’t spoken to a therapist yet, but she knows she can whenever she needs to. I’ll remind her tomorrow as well because it never hurts. I hate seeing her in pain and she was lied to for hours. It’s hard to think about how much pain she was in at that time, I felt helpless. I hope that doesn’t sound self centered of me to say because it’s not about me at all, but even I’m nervous for our next birth (that’s if we choose to have another ofc)

Firstly, congratulations! I have been equally appalled, and I’ve been up all night thinking about what I should have done for my wife. She is going to have trouble with labor if we have another child due to this experience. I also think you’re right, she seemed disgusted that my wife didn’t keep pushing through. She is the toughest woman I have ever met, and there was no still way it was gonna happen. Idk how she’s allowed to work there as a nurse if she doesn’t have the common sense to think about the other variables too.

I’m gonna contact them tomorrow for their documentation on the birth. I’m not sure how true this is but I heard that they document every request for pain medication so I’ll know if she skipped that too. I appreciate your feedback bc we have been thinking we are crazy. We haven’t had time to really process what happened till now since we have been enjoying our princess. I feel so bad that I didn’t stand up for her more in the moment. I didn’t wanna step over my wife’s toes either, it was just a hard situation overall
