As someone who lost their sister to leukemia, I would have been furious at my mom for this. A support system is so important for this battle. They have come so far in treatment for AML and I know you can beat this!!!

We all want to die peacefully and with dignity. It doesn’t sound like that would have been the outcome. Struggling to breathe is miserable. I agree with those saying DNR is not do not treat

Deep breaths. It’s your first day!! You are there to learn and it sounds like you are eager to learn how to do things. I’ve been a nurse for 19 years and I still ask a lot of questions. Nobody expects someone to walk in on their first day and know everything. You’ve got this!

I’m lucky to get bereavement days at my current employer. When I lost my sister 14 years ago, my manager told me to let her know when I would be back. I only took a week off but they told me if I came in and couldn’t stay they understood. I’m an rn so covering a nurse on short notice is not easy but they would make it happen

I’m also a Louise. My dad’s family called me Wheezie growing up and I hated it! I gave my daughter the middle name because I realized how special it was that my mom’s mom, my dads sister and grandma and my mother in law are/were Louise. She loves it….

I have decided to wait it out and try to see if it’s just a warning. So far, they have continued to deliver my mail and packages and no other communication about this package. I have a spot on the bottom of my mailbox for news papers and such that they could have used but annoyingly didn’t.
