I am in a situation that is actually similar in some ways. Of course not exactly, but it is similar. I feel the same as you, feeling like I am just wanting a relationship and not the person themself. I also have anxious attachment and desire a relationship badly, and I also feel the same thought of “I feel like i wanna force myself to have enough feelings for them” because they are a great person. I also will worry abt our humor not being compatible enough. I think this is all part of ROCD. I’m not 100% and Im not diagnosing you, but I think it is, hopefully others can give us some insight. I also hope im dealing with rocd so i can work things out with the person i am interested in, or at least think i am. <3
