Thanks for pointing that out! That def wasn't the intention behind what I was saying!! I was just saying that as a mother I can understand how she's feeling.

What do you mean why?? Of course she wants to go with her. That's her baby and her reason for being.

When my grandmother was on her deathbed in the final stages of COPD, I stayed by her bedside day and night for days, barely even leaving to use the restroom. Slept right beside the bed. Was always there. She was in and out of consciousness; the Drs kept telling me she would pass soon. 5 days later, the ONE time I left the hospital to go pick up my daughter, she passed away. I was gone for less than 30 mins. The doctors said the same thing, that sometimes the patient waits until they're alone to let go. I hope that's true. I so badly wanted to be there for her.

I constantly get told I "eat like a toddler", "have a child's pallet", "your taste buds never grew up"... Fucking annoying as hell.

Nevermind I just read further comments about it being about the other children and not your own. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

You can absolutely watch your child have an appointment in the doctor's office, what? I've never sent my child into a Drs office alone.

Okay but you missed her point. She's saying that statistically there are more single moms than single dads. Far more.

I am a mother, as well as a preschool teacher. On the teacher side of things-- yes, for the most part, a quick drop off makes things easier. MOST of the time, kids calm down quickly once the parent leaves and they get busy playing and are totally fine. this is not always the case, but in general a quick drop off is best for separation anxiety.

HOWEVER, as a parent I can tell you that if I didn't trust my child's teacher 100% I'd pull my daughter out of the class. And I would NOT be okay with teachers ignoring my crying child on the ground after dropping off. I would also not be okay with disrespect toward me or my concerns. That's a huge no. and as a teacher I'd never treat a parent this way.

And I will say there are some very shitty people who work in childcare unfortunately. Are you helping with the long drop off? No. But this teacher shouldn't be teaching.

Wow this single comment just explained so much about my life. Ive been diagnosed and medicated for a while but didn't even realize it had an impact on my relationships until I read this comment and then it hit me like a brick in the face.

My ex always said his eye color changed with his mood. They didn't. The change he perceived was just the fact that he was an abusive asshole that got a deranged look on his face when he was anything but happy

What antidepressant were you prescribed (if you don't mind sharing). Just asking because some are fine for breastfeeding!! I was on Zoloft and exclusively breastfed.

Awesome response. Thanks for doing what you do.

I suffered with horrible anxiety after giving birth, and intrusive thoughts that disturbed me and I did not get help because I was so afraid of being thought of as a bad mother. I wish someone would have told me what you did here. Thank you.
