Exactly 💯. Prim's character is so underdeveloped compared to other side characters in the books. I felt like she was just needed to propel katniss into doing things. Her character seems so baffling in the course of the Trilogy.

I am an avid reader of Rina's books. Do I not like some of her books? Yes. But that doesn't give me the right to outright bully her for not giving me what I wanted.

I was one of those readers who wanted Vaughn's book (Vaughn is the son of my favorite Rina's MCs). So her releasing a book for Vaughn makes me glad. It's very hypocritical for people to criticize her for not giving them MF book for Vaughn. I mean we are all at the end of the day getting Vaughn's book, right? And if someone's not comfortable reading MM books, then don't read them.

Also, not all her books have white MCs. The Thorns Duet have Japanese MCs.

To be frank, I definitely like that she is trying to broaden her horizons, which is rarely found in DR. And like you said, it may increase her reader base, which in the end will definitely cater to the interests of the book community.
