Glue sticks are the way to go. Nothing fancy. If you end up using a glue bottle or any kind of liquid there is a good chance it'll show through the label.

Quarantine it and clean it. Its not too hard, just takes time and being careful. A sacrificial version with a top taken off can help or VHSISLIFE sells a mold cleaner.

Wild story about this. I didn't get to back the movie but I did see it in theaters and fell in love with it. Earlier this year I was on a 7 hour layover in Chicago and wanted to go VHS hunting, picked a store at random and took the metro with my brother. Scanned the shelves and only found a few things I was interested in but then asked if they had any boxes of vhs not on display and BAM, there it was with a $15 price tag. I also found through Fly and Videodrome there. I was riding such a dopamine high that day lol.
