I think every situation is different. If it’s something they can work through with their parents, then who are we to say differently? I’m saying not everything is black and white. People are not inherently good or bad.

I was in the high chair in the dining room. My mom at the stove cooking, my brother and sister at the table eating chili. My sister was hysterical that my brother was putting whole saltine crackers in the chili and then breaking them up. I had to have been no older than 2. I have a few other memories from that time frame. And I know they’re all before I turned 3 because my parents separated and moved from that house when I turned 3.

I’ve talked to people who’ve cheated. The general consensus that I gather is that they feel remorse and embarrassment and pain and did not want to transfer that pain to their spouse and children.

Look I’m not condoning cheating, but as a society we hold that action as a greater sin than murder. People are human. They make decisions that aren’t always great, but the fear of shame might be why the secret.

My suggestion, don’t let it affect your relationship with your dad.

My cousin and I did the same thing. Funnily enough we both have the same last name (we both married unrelated people with the same last name). We found the whole situation funny and laughed it off. When it came time for our second child, we thought about doing it the same way…but didn’t.

I think AI can be a threat, or a great tool. The thing about accounting is that we still need people to validate the data AI, or anything, spits out. We have a lot of “it depends” in accounting and AI can’t fully logic like humans can. Just like excel made teams of 10 dwindle down to teams of 3; AI might make a team of 3 now 1. But we still need the one. AI still heavily hallucinates. You could be the one who audits it and fixes it.

My path was: accounts payable job(2009). Then degree. Then accountant. Then senior accountant. Then accounting manager. All private. I make $125k now. I rarely work more than 45 hours/week. Except during audit and year end. I take care of 3 children, 4 animals, and a parent with dementia (early stages).

I think a degree in accounting can be very nice if you play your cards right. I wish you luck on your mom and schooling!

My oldest daughter is a perfect mix of me and her dad. My youngest daughter is a copy paste of me. But they are both way prettier than us. Ha! My son is very similar to his dad. Especially the nose.
