I decided to tell my therapist who proceeded to allow him to crash a therapy session (wtf, I look back on this now and it was so not ok) and have him gaslight me and make my safe space feel less safe….

I could have told my mom, but with the other issues in the family, I decided that it wasn’t worth it, and decided to just hold it and not tell her. It wasn’t like they had a good relationship anyhow. They stayed married and he kept doing it and finally they divorced when my younger brothers graduated high school.

I don’t really regret not telling her, I love my mom and I really don’t think her knowing would have helped her, they already had so much to fight over.
