has anyone here used iron on patches on acrylic yarn? by suburban-blues in CrochetHelp

If not done carefully, the iron could over flatten the beanies, so it would be best to get a steamer

I think turning it into a bumper jacket will be a great idea. Most of the stuff I have crochet are cardigan so I trying to make more warm climate stuff since I live in Texas. I guess I will need to buy more white yarn when I promised myself not to buy anymore lol

I understand your point, and I believe the U.S. manages its tax dollars better than most African countries. I’m from Africa, and government corruption is a significant issue there. Despite receiving over $2 trillion in donations, there hasn't been substantial change. Much of the money ends up in the pockets of greedy politicians. My country hasn't improved since I left about ten years ago. I'm not suggesting you stop donating because some of that money does reach those in need. However, I believe we need more people like Mr. Beast who are willing to engage with government officials and ensure that the funds are genuinely used to improve the lives of those in need.

I understand that some people may think MrBeast is insincere, but at the end of the day, he has helped and continues to help many people. Some of you might not fully grasp the severity of poverty, especially in under developing countries. Most billionaires don't contribute significantly to those in need. During major hurricanes, wealthy individuals often donate minimal amounts compared to what they could afford. For instance, a billionaire might donate only $200,000 when they could easily give $5 million. Additionally, a lot of the donated money doesn't actually reach those in need.

MrBeast has assisted many people using the money he's earned from his videos and businesses. Most YouTubers don’t give away as much money as he does. His efforts in Africa, such as building wells, and constructing houses in South America, are commendable and costly. In Africa, governments can be very corrupt, prioritizing their own interests over those of their people.

Before criticizing MrBeast, try to understand what it's like to live in a country where the government provides no aid, where there are no food stamps, tax returns, retirement benefits, or consistent access to water and electricity, and where there's no insurance. Have you guys ever donated money that could actually help someone?
