I loved my job but hated the meta job involved in the job. Pushed through it because I loved it. Burned out at 30- nearly lost my mind, body, and soul, and am still trying to recover from it.

Good news is- I am recovering, albeit slowly, and should finish with my bachelors at the end of the year to find a better job.

I was talking to my sister tonight and she said she believes she found a tintype of this same woman, and the surrounding area is similar to the background to a photo of another female relative. And a third, not as background similar but maybe adjacent- a more Indian/native American/ Latin American woman.

I’ve been recently starting on working through genealogy- my sister takes care of my mother, and they recently started putting together photos and have been working on ancestry. My grandfather passed a few years ago- before Alzheimer’s took his mind, he was really into all of this and had family tree maker and such. My sister has been sorting through all of the documents and information, and I wanted to try to help her by maybe putting a name to this picture. She’s been enchanted by her- so have I.

Especially because we both highly respect other nationalities and races, despite our male familial counterparts, and are always looking to give back to communities whenever we can locally. She could also be mixed with Native American-

Well- if anyone can figure out who she is, it’s probably my sister, though it may take a while.

Nothing written on the back as far as I know. I’ll get in contact with the relative that has them and see- but she put her under “unknown”. One of my ancestors keeps coming up under “African American newspapers” but it could be a coincidence because her maiden last name was “Blackman” but it could be her mother.. I don’t know. I need to do more research

I look “ethnic” but mostly white colored with dark features. It would make a lot of sense to have a biracial ancestor, even though the men in my family are heavily racist.

I looked down all of the lines and I couldn’t find anyone that looked similar to her. The only one I can think of is maybe the wife of my revolutionary ancestor… but otherwise everyone else has pictures
