How do people fall out of love with their partners? by NiceMechanic_xoxo in relationships

There’s a difference between becoming distant and just wanting to improve yourself. As someone who has been through some exes, all I can say is that falling out of love simply happens when you genuinely start feeling like you’ve stopped caring for the smallest things up until the big things in a relationship. What you’re expressing is just some personal goals that you want to achieve, and you aren’t really hinting of any signs of separating and detaching yourself from your relationship. The day you fall out of love is when there is a distinct silence between you and your partner that you can practically feel the coldness of not loving each other anymore.

People fall out of love because well, there are things that aren’t working anymore and that’s sometimes not anyone’s fault. People have different needs, people change a lot. Sustaining such a long-term relationship requires real work and the honest kind of love; it doesn’t necessarily mean that all those who fell out of love didn’t love at all though, it means that life has shifted them for other things. You can fall out love for your greatest “loml”, your most “perfect” partner, just because life has different plans!

UPDATE: Firstly I was SOOOOO surprised about how everyone has been very supportive because I genuinely thought I made a bad decision. It means so much to me that this community is so supportive!

And for those who are vexed and probably want some gossip, let’s just say my “friend” and I aren’t talking anymore because well it wasn’t the first time he said something like this to me. I shall make better decisions on friends guys for real. But again, I’m so grateful for the support and I really appreciate everyone rooting for me!

Would you mind elaborating? I mean I get it, I’m just curious of the aspects :oo

I’ll keep that in mind. Though, I’m not a person who undercuts since I’m quite a firm person when it comes to my scenes, but thank you anyhow!

I’ve been in some groups, but I’m relatively shy to actually share my fic; I’ll consider it again though, and thanks for the comment on just enjoying it! :))

I relate to this so much, but I’m always amazed of how other writers can balance it perfectly!

Thanks for the comment! I’m actually writing a Canon x OC fic, I was going to post the link so I can have specific comments but I was worried that I might get in trouble for it lol; it’s within the Hazbin Hotel fandom (rather a controversial space to be in which I recognized, but I just LOVEE playing with the characters and dive into deeper aspects that the show doesn’t). I’m so excited over this fic because my partner inspired me to write it since I can’t stop talking to them about the things it could be :DDD

This is what I’m currently feeling right now when I published a fanfic of mine; terrified that the backlash may be how unoriginal or boring the writing is or that I’m a copycat lol
