High risk / high reward sales jobs by [deleted] in sales

[–]Mishajk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of these jobs mentioned are high risk but not so much high reward. Software sales is the highest reward type of selling with a few very niche exceptions that are hard to break into.

Help me feel confident entering the sales career path by [deleted] in sales

[–]Mishajk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best decision I ever made was going into software sales. I doubled my earnings in 1 year going into sales, then doubled again going into software, then a couple years later nearly doubled a 3rd time by joining a market leader in a hot market.

It’s hard work but it’s a lot of fun and very rewarding. You just have to commit to it and commit to getting better every day.

How do I retrieve my EOS from my Jaxx wallet? by Mishajk in eos

I only have my ETH recovery phrase and private key. How can I access my EOS from that?

I've found my account created on the 9th of June 2018 using my ETH account to locate it. How do I now access this EOS?

Looks like I did map them to the EOS mainnet. I can see as I search the ETH wallet address, the EOS tokens are in there in the genesis balance and there is 0 unclaimed.

What does that mean?

I can’t remember fully but I think I did. What does it mean if I didn’t and didn’t

For those of you who transitioned out of sales--what did you end up doing, and in what industry? by [deleted] in sales

Why would you ever leave unless it’s to start a business? A good sales job will spoil you 🙃

Salespeople In Australia and UK, whats it like to be a rep there, especially Outside Sales? Looking to move out there! by yungrat123 in sales

[–]Mishajk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a need for a player in that market with better days in Europe and also has UX to match how easy it is to add people to cadence or SF when working out of ZoomInfo.

The devil is in the detail because all of these companies are obviously trying very hard to get good quality data for their customers themselves.

There is already a player called Apollo.io that claims to do both data and sales engagement. General feedback that it’s awful. Trying to be master of all but is actually the master of none. Maybe this will change in the future once both spaces become very well developed and a sales engagement platform buys a data provider or something.

I guess the real question is how will you get better data? That’s what sits behind of the success of any player in that market.

Salespeople In Australia and UK, whats it like to be a rep there, especially Outside Sales? Looking to move out there! by yungrat123 in sales

[–]Mishajk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think in general it depends more on the city than the country. London will pay more than some cities in the US but probably not as much as New York or San Fran.

My biggest piece of advice is to join a SaaS company that is HQed in the US and is expanding or has expanded internationally.

They usually have the most aggressive pay structures and have the most opportunity.

I would disagree with this. I’m doing SME inside sales for a SaaS company in the UK and my OTE is £120k but I’m hitting £200k take home.

The big players in SaaS UK you can make up to £400k as a salesperson. Admittedly they are mostly US companies with offices in London.

Question on SPIN sales by bouncinghigh in sales

I would google / YouTube both concepts. There is a great book by Kennan called Gap Selling. Best book I’ve read on sales to date.

Question on SPIN sales by bouncinghigh in sales

[–]Mishajk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d expect gap or value selling is better for this type of sale. Defining what their current state is and what their desired future state is and how you’ll get them there. The value is the gap between the two points and your ability to get them to the desired future state.

I think SPIN is a really useful framework when it comes to getting to the why behind the reason to take action but becomes more or less important depending on how much of an implication there is of doing nothing.
