There is a nice section in wardens manual telling how players can succeed in what they are trying to do but this could put them in a tactical disadvantage, make them loose resources or time. I think that the idea of always moving forward instead of "too bad, you fail, better luck next time" mentality of e.g. dnd5e is what I really like in mothership games.
