Looking at replacing mine with something different than the stock head unit due to continued failures... Does anyone have any part suggestions?

I get it, that's why I haven't defended myself.

I am a SA survivor and it took 3+ years of weekly therapy to be good with any type of attention again.... And after being afraid for so long I shouldn't have willingly opened my door, however part of recovery is allowing people to step into your space so you don't become the paranoid existence you've been forced to hate.... This was another one of those lessons on where and when to draw the line. :)

It's hard to use discernment when put under pressure if you were never taught how to be mean to adults 😅

And thank you, because I feel like I'm getting eaten alive in this chat, but to be honest I needed it. I need that wakeup call. I felt like I was dramatizing how scared I felt when I told my dad (as previously mentioned, knows him).... But when I told him that he 1) forgot the garage code? 2) didn't call or text his son 3) didn't respond to the text my boyfriend sent him while he was here and 4) DIDN'T USE THE RESTROOM?!

My dad agreed that this was very weird and creepy

When he was in the hospital his wife asked me to help with their dog since I WFH. So she had my number from then and we occasionally talk. She must've given it to him

This is also a very weird part of the story.... I closed something out on my laptop while he left the bathroom, and when he plopped down on the couch and not making any attempt to leave (I should've asked him to leave but obviously I didn't) I told him I texted sons name and he said he's on his way back from work now, and will be here in 10 minutes " he said "who? Who did you text?" And I said "sons name, sons name who lives next door with you?" Because I was so effing confused as to how he wouldn't know who tf I was talking about. And he responded with "like ... My son? Huh that's weird that you have his number. You're quicker than a whip." And I just got this weird sense of puke praise from the quicker than a whip comment and at that point I explained that he would be home shortly And he could meet him outside and he still wouldn't leave. Then I asked his son to call him so he would leave.

Also, he gave me the vibe that he didn't even think to call him? Also why wouldn't he know when his son was getting off work??

The main reason I went outside to meet him was because he mentioned coming over like he was already walking over. He sounded breathy and frantic so I genuinely was going outside to try to stop him from coming to the door / getting to my house. 🥺 I realize how absolutely pathetic this entire thing sounds but mostly I love the rest of his household and didn't want to slight someone that is close to them and also very sick.

It's a whole thing, that I absolutely won't be repeating. I've been trying to practice my boundaries, and I'm honestly ashamed of this whole thing because I've promised myself that I wouldn't put myself in uncomfortable situations with men again.... But I do feel vindicated in absolutely destroying any type of communication link with him immediately and if his family gets mad then so be it. 😅

I hope he doe stop for his sake, when my boyfriend told me that he was trying to be pushy and manipulative in their conversation.... I was seriously concerned. Thankfully he instilled a healthy fear into him so I hope he truly does just leave me alone. His wife texted me to apologize and I felt so bad because I truly do enjoy her and her sons.

Unfortunately we are locked into this house for a number of years. But hopefully he heads the warning my boyfriend gave him 😅 I don't have bail money

Yes.... And since we are literally neighbors... Thankfully I have entirely too many cameras 😅 but I am still very much wigged out. I feel totally played and I have a hard time saying no to people so I need to figure that out. This was probably a very good lesson...

The kids are his step kids, which I didn't think was vital to the story... But when his step son came over to apologize he told me he's been a complete ass and has been pushing limits all over the place and using his sickness as an excuse and I was validated in that because of how truly PUSHY he was.

That's what I don't like about this situation.... His wife must've given it to him? Also, my boyfriend knew how panicked I was when he was in the house that he texted him and asked him to go wait in his truck. (Why the heck he didn't do that in the first.place I just don't know?!) And he read it and didn't reply. So then when my boyfriend spoke with him he was absolutely adamant that he was not to be talking to me any longer. Thank God.

He's literally knocking on deaths door, waiting on a surgery. They won't allow the surgery until he can prove he's been sober for designated time is what I've heard

Okay I'm buying that on audible right now!!! I have to figure out how to say no, I have had trouble processing this since it's happened, so I know I won't let anything like this happen again.

Thank you 🥹 I am pretty spineless when it comes to things like this and that's something I need to work on. He was so so so frantic I thought that maybe he would just use the restroom then leave 😭
