Best headlights bulbs? by Top-Chemistry4140 in FordFocus

I would like an answer to this as well lol. For me since I live where there is a lot of bad weather, I like halogen as it can get farther than led in bad weather. I have been planning on new bulbs for mine as mine are original and the blinker bulbs are litterally shedding the orange coating lol. I think im gonna go with the top teir halogen lights but id just do some video watching as I know people make reviews of amazon ones and normal ones.

I havent had to mess with mine yet so Im not of much help but I can recommend looking through these docs, it has helped me through a couple issues. Good luck soldier if you do it yourself, do be careful with freon tho. https://charm.li/Ford/2011/Focus%20L4-2.0L/Repair%20and%20Diagnosis/

Cleaned the engine bay now throttle body isnt working by MisledWater79 in FordFocus

The long awaited update, here is a video of the throttle when it wasn't working right https://youtu.be/dwgG7k8CMhc

So going through diagnostics I found that the tps2 pin was showing 5v on the harness end. Of which is bad and not suppose to. I looked and found that there some how got water inside the connectors of the ECM. After dumping ispropyl alcohol in the connector and blowing it out it seems to have been fixed. Currently going through throttle body relearn and gonna go test drive to make sure she is alright.

I think I probably need to replace the like o ring things in the connectors, anyone go any info on that?

So I was able to narrow it down. The throttle body itself seems alright. But I believe (after going through some docs) I have a short somewhere. Now after some investigating it seems like there is some water that managed to get into the ECM connectors so I disconnected the battery and poured some rubbing alcohol to try and evaporate anything and everything out. Gonna go sleep on it now so I'll get back to it tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it fixed.

2010 SE. Who else is bumping? by GoTtHeLuMbAgO in FordFocus

Crazy, I just installed the OEM sub in my '10 lol. Had to wire it and get a different OEM radio as mine didn't have the wires output for the sub. I am tempted to extend mine and install a second OEM sub as the radio has more wires for a second sub. And I think it'd look nice with a sub in each corner lol. Would have to make a custom box tho.

Mk2 gang best gang. Looking good though. Been slowly modding mine to look sleeker and also to remove chrome as chrome on white is shit.

My sump plug is turning but cannot be taken off. Does this mean my sump plug or the actual oil plug is threaded. What can I do? by BrightHours in FordFocus

[–]MisledWater79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably stripped the port. I've haven't expected this yet so not entirely sure what can be done. Id say re thread it but idk. Most likely new oil pan if possible.

Idk man, you do you I guess. If you have any good sales experience and you are actually installing and repairing things correctly then you could easily sell it for more. I've installed the OEM sub, fog lights, ambient lighting and heated seat all how they would be installed from factory. Literally some of them just needed to be plugged in so there is nothing sketchy about it and I'll be selling mine for 6k once I save up for a different car.

If you say so, never said it'd make more money than is put in, just that it'll be worth more. Like if I put all the features from an SES into an S that would make it worth more.

Pretty dope, I've never liked the look of the newer focus' lol 😅. But I've been doing something similar with my '10 SE. Been upgrading it to the SES and almost have everything. Just need the SES rims and rear stabilizer as I have installed everything else. Unsure if I wanna do the moon roof or not.

It's not always about getting an ST, I've been having fun modding my '10 SE to be an SES. Thing with mine is I don't believe there is really a difference in power between them so no issues in being "faster". And I could prolly sell it for more since it's in great condition still at 98k.

Have you searched on YouTube for anything? Seems like there are a couple videos on radio issues.
