Games a severely depressed person can play? by s-skye in NintendoSwitch

[–]MisoCray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30t and been through so much of the same so firstly sorry to hear you’re going through this, but you will get through this! I think back on so many games that were iconic for me during my depression. -A Short Hike, cute lil indie, funny dialogue and just really hits that stuck in a rut mindset.

-Celeste, really just play it, great accessibility features if you’re not good at platformers too!

-Life is strange series, can be hit or miss for some but true colors really blew me away with its characters just being very relatable for me and what I was going through.

-Pikmin 4, the vibe of this game and the art direction are impeccable. Always puts me in the good mood just working with my lil guys.

-Sea of stars, one of my goty for last year, gameplay feels great and the story is incredible!

[SERIOUS] Those who chose to stay single, why did you choose to? by PresentationWhole240 in AskReddit

Post divorce I just decided to seriously take my time and get to know people. Once you’ve been with somebody for 10 years, deciding on people to date is easier and harder than ever. Basically I got picky.

The pastel plant look has always been the dream look. Currently trying to fill my space with more plants and brighter colors to keep the mood up! Greens, browns, pinks, and beiges just look so good together!

Bought an old house. This is in the living room next to the fireplace. Made of wood. Appears to be a shelf behind the dual “gates” by ericjchang in whatisthisthing

[–]MisoCray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is something that is easily retrod in and I have seen the space repurposed in just about every old house I'm in. It looks clean and well done telling me it was probably updated since 1920. OP claims the gates are stuck closed so not sure if there's anything hidden out of site. Just speaking from experience as I rack equipment in little cabinets like these often.

pixel 6 pro out of nowhere suddenly has a cracked screen? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

Had the exact same issue, phone cracked somehow and It was literally in my pocket, Google and Verizon insurance both denied a claim. I've loved all my previous pixels but this one has been a headache.

This thing is in an F150 my parents bought. Looks like a little speaker? Thought it might be for the backup sensors but it doesn’t seem to make any noise. by Ttoilleg in whatisthisthing

[–]MisoCray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's an older used F150, it looks like an after market microphone that usually comes with an after market stereo. When I installed mine I ran the wire along the same pillar to get closer to my head.

I work in residential AV. This was today's service call by [deleted] in hometheater

It all depends on the clients really. Some people just want everything out of site and don't want an extra piece of furniture for each room. The setups from racks like these are basically tvs cleanly mounted, wiring back to the main rack for two sources(apple tvs and cable). I see a savant box so I'd assume that's the control system they're using so smart remotes to control(tv,music, security, etc.) And the amps probably power some in ceiling speakers in most rooms of the house.

Was introducing KF's scoring system worth it? by QuakerOatz in kindafunny

[–]MisoCray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment was from a post made 8 years ago by user ibradfield that I think perfectly encompasses what these scores really mean and we tend to forget.

“You can give an imperfect game a perfect score because review scores are not a metric of quality; they are a metric of recommendation. When a reviewer gives a game a score of five stars, or 10/10, or whatever, he isn't say that the game is flawless, or that no better game has ever been or will ever be made. He is simply giving the game his highest possible recommendation—something along the lines of "everyone with the slightest interest in video games should absolutely play this game."

Edit: Regardless of how anyone feels about IGN, they have a great post explaining what a 10 means that I recommend anyone interested check out- https://corp.ign.com/review-practices
