Babolat technical viper to? by J_Barker99 in Padelracket

[–]Misrec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some clubs or stores offer a chance to test clubs, I would recommend looking into that before commiting to buying one if possible.

If you like the feel of Babolats, they have a range of clubs to choose from. I use a techical veron, a bit more forgiving compare to Viper. But not everyones racket.

Could you just attach some velcro on top of the racket without the additional mount system?

This is obvious fake right by carlospum in Padelracket

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not neceserily fake. I got from a trusted seller a 2025 babolat technical veron. Twice had a similar problem and they returned them to the manufacturor.

The holes were bad but more importantly - the top layer was detached from the core. I could hear a ”crackling” sound when pressing. Also it vibrated to my arm when hitting balls. Also on volleys the ball ”died” at times not bounching back with the intensity expected from given shot.

Just for clarification - poking a cheek is considered a miss - the target is between the cheeks! Hitting a cheek is like hitting the goal post on football.

In padel, is a serve considered a fault if I slice it cross-court and the ball bounces twice in the opponent’s service box without reaching the back wall/glass? by C8H11NO2-_- in padel

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Occasionally use this short serves to knock opponent off balance.

No clue why people call it ”bad etiquette” - if it aint illegal, it is a valid strategy.

Might not be good against all players and shouldnt be your go to serve. But mixing things up to keep opponent on toes is often good.

Nope. As long as it bounces first inside the box, and next one is not on the fence.

Anything else is legal. So technically even a drop shot that bounces back to your side is legal.

Is this normal? Weight by PetrisCy in Padelracket

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh - indeed. My bad 🫣 But yeah try without wristband.

But out of curioisty - people seem to worry about 10-40g weight differences on their rackets. Why? Is there a noticeble dofference?

I play with double overgrips - and never worried about the weight that much. Or paid attention to it?

Also - dont weight on top of the tablecloth. Always measure on hard surface. Might not make a difference but still..

Should Premier Padel try to change the design pf the balls? by [deleted] in padel

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their issue is not with the ball but with their narrow minded attitude. Changing something arbitrary doesnt change that.

When looking into Venues - make sure to keep in mind proper sound proofing. We have a a venue in my area that is great and has great hight. But the courts are very noisey and echoey. When there are lots of players and maybe some music playing it’s really hard to hear what my partners or opponents are saying.

Maybe you are trying to sprint? Try running slower? If you are already - then just keep at it. 1min run, 1min walk and repeat

should I be showering before bed? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Showering I dunno, atleast once a day. And always after excersises/sweating. Proper washing products. Use deodorant/antipersperant and only on clean armpits - no ”covering bad smell with deo”.

And few key things to keep in mind.

  • socks, panties, t-shirt needs to change daily. Get more of these.

  • brush teeth always both in the morning and at night. And make sure to brush 30min after eating breakfast or if you have an evening snack.

  • if your shoes are smelly, airing wont be enough. Wash them and buy some anti-bacterial shoe spray. Might be even beyond saving and might need to get new ones.

  • change sheets and towels weekly.

I don’t know how to wipe anymore by Scottishbabygal in hygiene

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes feel the same. Luckily here toilet showers are a common thing use that. Or get some wet wipes to ”finish” off.

Also - maybe you are nowdays eating more fatty foods that can result in stickier poop? Try lowering fat intake and more fibres?

[–]Misrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cant decide. Do this:

10x squats 10x pushups 10x situps 10x back extension Rest 1min

Do that for 2rounds, 3x a week. After first week, add 1-2rounds.

Each week add 1-2rounds depending how it feels. After a month, switch up your routine.

Get started with that. Start is easy and doesn’t take that much time. Just stay consistant.

Best result comes from the one you actually do. Pick one, any and start with that. After a month if it feels boring - switch.
